"Well these definitely do control the mannequin..Unless anyone has an objection I'm going to cut this thing down. Perhaps then we will see something in one of the mirrors that doesn't belong."

(OOC: I'll wait for a bit to see if anyone objects...if not then Thantos will cut the wires that hold the mannequin up).

The next thought crossing Attrah's mind was about breaking all the mirrors...but that might be a waste of time.

Liveless & unmoving.

Just a bit down the corridor, the way splits
To your right a room.
A high domed ceiling caps the 30 foot diameter round room before you.
Frescos, faded with age adorn the ceiling, but are impossible to make out.
Tall, thin arrow slits appear in the wall at intervals.

To your left...
A long narrow corridor.
Cobwebs fill the hall and obstruct sight beyond a few feet.*

Darghon walks through the corridor and stops at where it splits and looks at the cobwebs.. "Urgh.. I hate spiders.." He then continues into the domed room and has a look around. Looking out of the archers slits he sees..

Darghon:
* You feel the frigid wind on your face as you look through the 2 inch slit.

Before you, you see a chasm of great depth, beyond what you can see.
Across the dark & wide split in the earth, you see a dark & dead forest.
Out of that forest comes a beaten road that approaches the cliffs.
This ends at the chasm and at a gate with two large ancient turrets to each side,
which seems to be a place where a drawbridge can open to.

Right below you before the dark slash in the earth,
are tall stone walls...forbidding to say the least,
and before that, what seems to be a courtyard.

A cold fog wafts through the dead ground,
Lightning flashes overhead from a storm approaching in the distance. *

After looking back through the archers slit.. "Everything is dead and dark out there.. Shall we press on then?"

Dropping his invisibility power, Vinoh Madren steps into full view of his comrades, whom he is especially glad to see. He then casts a glare at Attrah:

"Well, it would seem that someone couldn't keep up... nonetheless, the collective magic wielded by our group leaves a slight trail, which I was able to hone onto and find my way here.

Sadly, I haven't found neither Gell or Tower and I would strongly advise against going back to the catacombs. Our little spiff there seems to have stirred quite a few nasty things. However, I was able to find shelter near the freshest tomb, where Father Quadrial placed a crucifix. I was most thankful for that indeed! Held at bay, these... "things" were unable to approach. I then made my way here... Strangely, this place seems full of dimensional vortexes that feed off of each other. Looking out arrow slits and gashes in the walls, I saw very different landscapes.

Nonetheless, I'm happy to see you all! Even you, dark knight. It would seem that you confronted something here. What is this puppet-like monstrosity on the floor? Did you guys have fun without me?"

With that last remark, Vinoh smiles slyly, thinly concealing the great relief he feels with the discovery of his companions, which is underlined by the great dread he holds for the catacombs. Their way back was cut off, that much he knew for sure. The only option now was to press on.

"The puppet was a sneaky way of distracting us from the real nature of this place. I suspect that there are multiple forces here and that some are not so much in control as just settled in. Let's see if we can't stir up their comfortable nest a bit."

"Vinoh!" Darghon grabs his forearm giving him a strong warriors handshake. Grinning wildly he says "It is good to see you alive old friend and yes I agree with you about the dimensional vortexs"

Darghon looks out the slits again "But I wonder if we do go back the same way will we return to the location we need to goto? or if no be it that we wander around here for a life time" He says raising an eyebrow..

"I guess we have only one way to find out.." With an even bigger grin "Lets go destroy some evil"

Relieved that the sudden apparition wasn't some undead horror out for blood, Krazixs smiles as he see there lost companion returned. Emboldend now with their added comrade, Krazixs turns to the rest of the group, "I believe we should be on our way, someone must have been operating the mannequin, let us try to find our mischevious puppeteer."

We can head back up the way a bit I believe there were more rooms and such that we could go into or we could head down the cobwebs corridor. It doesn't look like much has passed that way in quite some time which of course could be a good sign...or a very bad one.

I'm all for the corridor personally, spider's don't seem to frighten me as much anymore."

With that Thantos, moves down the corridor as far as the light goes, slashing down cobwebs with his sword. Turning at the edge of the light he looks back...

"Shall I continue at the front or are we heading back the other way?"

OOC: Sorry for the delay guys, I've been a little under the weather.

Hearing a familiar voice behind her, D'Aleen spins around and a delighted grin spreads over her face as she realizes her eyes are not playing tricks on her. Rushing over she surprises the mage with a hug and kiss on the cheek.

"Ah it is good indeed to have you back safely with us Vinoh. I am so glad you came to no harm.

Now though I think Thantos is right and we should all press on. If Vinoh says the way we came, or the catacombs at the very least, is not safe then I think we should continue with this path. If the rest of you agree, that is."

Overjoyed by the welcome he receives, Vinoh feels his confidence return to him, which had been severely shaken earlier. He is glad that everyone seems fine and ready for action. Remembering the evil he had just narrowly escaped, Vinoh nods his head in agreement.

"I agree that we should press forward, but let's at least make sure to cover the most ground. I am most in favour of at least giving that room a cursory once-over before moving down that corridor. If you say that this puppet was controlled, then perhaps the pupeteer is nearby... What do you guys think?"

His curiosity once again overwhelming his fear, Vinoh makes his way to the side chamber for at least a brief inspection.

"Why does it look like the cobwebs haven't been passed through?" pondering abit "There is always the possiblility that he made himself intangeable and simply walked through the cobwebs.. but who knows right? We are dealing with evil itself here.."

Darghon heads back into the controlling room and looks it over more carefully for anything that might be out of place..

D'Aleen waits patiently with Thantos while Vinoh and Darghon explore the chamber. Moving close to him and lowering her voice she looks up...

"I can't help but think of what you said a long time ago Thantos...if we are going to all make it out of here alive. What worries me more is how do we get out of this strange new dimension we find ourselves in? The view out those slits in the wall certainly is not what we originally rode through. I try to be strong but the thought plagues me at times."

Lightning crackling across the sky.
The wind picks up.
The thick cobwebs in the hall across flutter.
However, the fog in the courtyard below is strangely still.

Nothing else of interest is found within this room
The faded frecoes can even be interpreted. *

"Aww heck..." dargon ponders if he should stop that storm or not.. "Lets move on down that hall way eh?" Darghon mentally controlling his globe of light moves out into the hallway with the cobwebs and waits for everyone else... especially Thantos seeing he has the big sword..

Finding the storm outside to be calming,the knight waited silently while the room was explored.
While waiting on Darghon/Vinoh..the knight began to observe his companions.They had a bond,and element of communication he did not understand.To him,this was business..another way to prove himself...
Thinking back to how he met his companions,Attrah never realized that he would be on a quest like this.Fate had once again stepped up and set a course.
Attrah's life was always like that..full of suprise and challenge..
definately adventure.
For whatever reason he was here..the knight would understand eventually.All he had to do was stay alive.

...Looking around...the knight realized his thoughts had trailed off.
A dangerous occurence in a place like this. He must not let it happen twice.

Glancing outside the archer slits once more..the knight felt his mind clear of questions. Back to the business at hand.

Standing next to D'Aleen and hearing her soft, sensuous voice whispering her thoughts to him, Thantos can't help but feel an incredible sense of protectiveness and..strong affection for this beautiful elf.

Reaching over to D'Aleen, Thantos gently grabs her hand and holds it tight, stroking the back of her hand with his thumb. Turning towards her he looks deep inside her amazing eyes and whispers back to her...

"My father, before he passed away years ago said something to me that I think about a lot these days. He said 'Do not worry over that which you cannot control. And if you are in control then there is nothing to worry about.'

At this time there is nothing we can do about the strange world we have been brought to for we can not control it. Once we understand enough about this place and even this world we may be able to learn how to get back. Until then the thought that if I am stuck in another world for eternity then I'm at least stuck here with someone as wonderful and beautiful as you. "

Feeling a little uncomfortable at actually having said such words...Thantos tries to lighten up the mood and says out loud.

"Heck, for all we know, all these 'windows' may simply be illusions of another world to de-moralize us. We may still be in the same place we were."

Looking back down the hallway at his companions, he sees Darghon coming down. Giving D'Aleen's hand one last squeeze, he brings it briefly to his lips savouring her sweet smell and give it a gentle kiss. Letting go of her hand he draws his sword and prepares to move further down the hallway.

Darghon walks down through the halway to where Thantos and D'Aleen still are.

"Well we didn't find anything up in the domed room up there" Darghon looks over his should to see if his other companions are following "kind of a shame though" and with a grin "I love secret passages.."

Mentally controlling his globe of daylight, he moves it down to just over infront of thantos.. "Shall we?"

The hallway is thin & long.
The darkness is up ahead as well a growing behind as the group trails forward with only their light nearby.

After a short time but with some walking of the length of the hall.
You come to a small spiral stairwell, not even close to size as the one before.
Almost as if something servants would use.
One way goes up, the other down.
The grey stone untouched in years of dust. *

A slight blush crosses D'Aleen's face at Thantos' softly spoken words and a soft smile reaches her eyes. Feeling a bond with the proud knight, she has to remind herself to concentrate on the task at hand as Darghon approaches. Sure the others would be close behind, the elf follows Thantos and Darghon down the narrow passageway with dagger in hand. As they come to a halt she looks and sees the two staircases.

"Ah, another decision - up or down? Well, the others shouldn't be too far behind us and then we can decide."

Reaching under her cloak into the small pouch concealed there she pulls out a delicate silver flask and takes a small sip from the contents. She offers it to Thantos and Darghon.

"It is spring water drawn from a magical pool from my home lands. It is very refreshing and filled with energizing elements. Try some if you have a thirst."

Darghon thanks D'Aleen and takes a sip of the water from the flask "Mmm, sweet and refreshing.. You elves must live in a wonderful world.." Darghon turns back to the task at hand feeling the water sweep through his body "I fear we may be in a different place again.." Darghon looks over his shoulder at the rest of the group "That was an awfully long corridor" Darghon shrugs "And then again maybe not guess we can only wait and find out"

"So then.. Which way?" Darghon smiles..

"Amazing..my whole body feels refreshed. I will have to visit your homeland some day..as Darghon said, it must be wonderful!"

"As for what direction we should go...I'm thinking we should head up. Last time up ended in a dead end so if that is the case again then we just come back down. I just have no desire to face the catacombs again right now and for all we know this passage may lead back down into them. Let's go up..when the others arrive."

Lost in his careful inspection of the room, Vinoh realizes that his companions have started to make their way throught the cobweb filled corridor. Not wishing to be left on his own again, the mind mage quickly makes his way to the group and watches the rear.

At the spiral staircase, Vinoh makes his opinion clear:

"As I've said before, heading back to the catacombs may most likely result in our deaths, but I faced these monsters alone, so perhaps we could stand a chance as a group down there if the way up turns into a dead end. However, I suspect that this stairwell leads to much larger rooms, not the top of a tower.

I think we should go up the stairs in the same order as we climbed from the catacombs: good fighters at the front and rear, back up by mages, and the rest in the middle."

Colors flash through Krazixs' head, up becomes down and dizzyness envelops the small elf. Looking around everything seems distorted and fuzzy. Closing his eyes in fear of blacking out Krazixs concentrates on holding on to reality.

As quickly as it came it is gone.

Krazixs looks around curious as to what could have caused this. Thinking that the dimensional magic swirling about this cursed place must have something to do with it Krazixs continues on up the staircase.

Thantos moves past the hallway and up the stairs just a little trying to see if he can see anything higher up the stairwell.

"I think we should go up. I too would rather go to the top and see what we have to deal with up there, if anything. If there is nothing there and we have to come back down, at least we will be familiar with the layout. And, if what we ultimately seek is up there...I would rather save my energy for that task instead of battling underlings on each level to ease our curiosity.
Of course, I shall abide by the decision of the group."

Bob Biter Non-smokers die everyday Location: Montreal	Overjoyed by the welcome he receives, Vinoh feels his confidence return to him, which had been severely shaken earlier. He is glad that everyone seems fine and ready for action. Remembering the evil he had just narrowly escaped, Vinoh nods his head in agreement. "I agree that we should press forward, but let's at least make sure to cover the most ground. I am most in favour of at least giving that room a cursory once-over before moving down that corridor. If you say that this puppet was controlled, then perhaps the pupeteer is nearby... What do you guys think?" His curiosity once again overwhelming his fear, Vinoh makes his way to the side chamber for at least a brief inspection. __________________ A plan is just a list of things that don't happen.

Apokx Yo dawg, I herd u like... Location: memes.	Finding the storm outside to be calming,the knight waited silently while the room was explored. While waiting on Darghon/Vinoh..the knight began to observe his companions.They had a bond,and element of communication he did not understand.To him,this was business..another way to prove himself... Thinking back to how he met his companions,Attrah never realized that he would be on a quest like this.Fate had once again stepped up and set a course. Attrah's life was always like that..full of suprise and challenge.. definately adventure. For whatever reason he was here..the knight would understand eventually.All he had to do was stay alive. ...Looking around...the knight realized his thoughts had trailed off. A dangerous occurence in a place like this. He must not let it happen twice. Glancing outside the archer slits once more..the knight felt his mind clear of questions. Back to the business at hand.

Cubby Insane Location: BC, Canada	Standing next to D'Aleen and hearing her soft, sensuous voice whispering her thoughts to him, Thantos can't help but feel an incredible sense of protectiveness and..strong affection for this beautiful elf. Reaching over to D'Aleen, Thantos gently grabs her hand and holds it tight, stroking the back of her hand with his thumb. Turning towards her he looks deep inside her amazing eyes and whispers back to her... "My father, before he passed away years ago said something to me that I think about a lot these days. He said 'Do not worry over that which you cannot control. And if you are in control then there is nothing to worry about.' At this time there is nothing we can do about the strange world we have been brought to for we can not control it. Once we understand enough about this place and even this world we may be able to learn how to get back. Until then the thought that if I am stuck in another world for eternity then I'm at least stuck here with someone as wonderful and beautiful as you. " Feeling a little uncomfortable at actually having said such words...Thantos tries to lighten up the mood and says out loud. "Heck, for all we know, all these 'windows' may simply be illusions of another world to de-moralize us. We may still be in the same place we were." Looking back down the hallway at his companions, he sees Darghon coming down. Giving D'Aleen's hand one last squeeze, he brings it briefly to his lips savouring her sweet smell and give it a gentle kiss. Letting go of her hand he draws his sword and prepares to move further down the hallway. __________________ Don't be irreplaceable - if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted!

"Well we didn't find anything up in the domed room up there" Darghon looks over his should to see if his other companions are following "kind of a shame though" and with a grin "I love secret passages.." rogue49 Loser	* Although thick, the cobwebs give easily to your passing. The hallway is thin & long. The darkness is up ahead as well a growing behind as the group trails forward with only their light nearby. After a short time but with some walking of the length of the hall. You come to a small spiral stairwell, not even close to size as the one before. Almost as if something servants would use. One way goes up, the other down. Minx Junkie Location: Up yonder	A slight blush crosses D'Aleen's face at Thantos' softly spoken words and a soft smile reaches her eyes. Feeling a bond with the proud knight, she has to remind herself to concentrate on the task at hand as Darghon approaches. Sure the others would be close behind, the elf follows Thantos and Darghon down the narrow passageway with dagger in hand. As they come to a halt she looks and sees the two staircases. "Ah, another decision - up or down? Well, the others shouldn't be too far behind us and then we can decide." Reaching under her cloak into the small pouch concealed there she pulls out a delicate silver flask and takes a small sip from the contents. She offers it to Thantos and Darghon. "It is spring water drawn from a magical pool from my home lands. It is very refreshing and filled with energizing elements. Try some if you have a thirst." __________________ You've been a naughty boy....go to my room!

Bob Biter Non-smokers die everyday Location: Montreal	Lost in his careful inspection of the room, Vinoh realizes that his companions have started to make their way throught the cobweb filled corridor. Not wishing to be left on his own again, the mind mage quickly makes his way to the group and watches the rear. At the spiral staircase, Vinoh makes his opinion clear: "As I've said before, heading back to the catacombs may most likely result in our deaths, but I faced these monsters alone, so perhaps we could stand a chance as a group down there if the way up turns into a dead end. However, I suspect that this stairwell leads to much larger rooms, not the top of a tower. I think we should go up the stairs in the same order as we climbed from the catacombs: good fighters at the front and rear, back up by mages, and the rest in the middle." __________________ A plan is just a list of things that don't happen.

krazixs Psycho Location: courtin in the kitchen	Colors flash through Krazixs' head, up becomes down and dizzyness envelops the small elf. Looking around everything seems distorted and fuzzy. Closing his eyes in fear of blacking out Krazixs concentrates on holding on to reality. As quickly as it came it is gone. Krazixs looks around curious as to what could have caused this. Thinking that the dimensional magic swirling about this cursed place must have something to do with it Krazixs continues on up the staircase.
