Next Gen System for Star Wars Fan?

I stopped following new-age gaming a while ago... more into retro gaming... but my cousin wants to know which system, XBOX, PS2 or GC, to get for the best Star Wars games, and I told him I would help him. But since I don't know anything about new releases and such, I need your guys's opinions. Thanks.

Well i think that Gamecube has more, Rebel Strike is coming out soon, and it looks fucking amazing. Gamecube is a great system either way, plus its droping to 99 dollars in November (with a legend of zelda bonus pack (all original zelda titles, ocrina of time, and a wind waker demo) cant go wrong with that!

The X-Box only has two SW games, KOTOR and Jedi Outcast (which is horrible compared to the PC Version). The PS2 has Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, Super Bombad Racing, Clone Wars, Bounty Hunter and another (I think). Cube has only got Clone Wars and Bounty Hunter EDIT: And ROGUE SQUADRON 2. Next year there'll be a few new ones like Republic Commando (Clone Wars squad based combat scenarios) but I think that may only be for the PC. GameCube has Rebel Strike coming out soon which simply looks amazing.

So what's the verdict? You can't win, LucasArts insists on not releasing most of their games on multiformats, it's a way to get more money out of us fans. Personally I'm content with the PS2 as I own a bad ass PC which plays the better SW games very well.

In terms of technical superiority for each console:
1)PC
2)X-Box
3)GameCube
4)PS2

And certainly worth twice as much as any other Star Wars game....but then again, I've yet to see Rogue Squadron for the Cube and it's looking pretty good......

Too true, however Obi-Wan doesn't exist (well, at least it shouldn't).

I would either get an Xbox for KOTOR, or just wait until KOTOR comes out on PC. I'm not into the flight simulator games at all, so I'll pass on all of those.

Have you tried the Rogue Squadron games? You can't really call them flight sims, the action is pretty arcadey, but at least give them a shot =D. Especially Rebel Strike, around 40% of the game is ground-based combat.

I'd say a Gamecube. KOTOR you can get on the pc, which is one of the best star wars game out right now (along with rebel strike, jedi outcast). Rouge Sqadron games are incredibly fun, and I quite enjoyed clone wars. and for $99 bucks, you cant really go wrong.

Jedi Knight Academy isa scheduled for a 11/18 release.

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/...w_6076707.html

And KOTOR is the best star wars game ever. I bought a gamecube just to play rebel strike, and I think KOTOR kicked it's ass.

I find the RPG's a la Baldur's Gate much more entertaining than flight sims, especially using the Star Wars universe. I hope this helps.
