Hmm...the games that I've played this year are mainly from last year. I guess the best game that I've played this year that actually came out this year is Knights of the Old Republic which is simply amazing.
In other news, I beat Metroid Prime this past January. I also beat Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem about a month or so ago. Both absolutely incredible games. -Lasereth

Definitely to this point it is KOTOR
I am going to go with HL2 for overall GOTY but I think it has a tough act to follow in the original Half Life. Hopefully it lives up to all of the hype. My prediction for 2004 GOTY is Halo 2, I think it is going to put the XBOX on the map for good and finally catapult sales. |

I think Need for Speed: Underground is shaping up to be the best racing game, for me. I think that's the important thing. There may be better racing games out there, but NFS:U is right up my alley. And I hope Deus Ex comes out this year, because I'm looking forward to it a lot. Gotten a bit strung out on the Half-Life 2 publicity.
