Building a CS Server... - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I am attempting to build a Counter-Strike server for an upcomming LAN party(3 weeks) and I was wondering if anyone knew of any soures out there. This includes help with AMX code.

The setup is current CS reease with the War Craft 3 mod, and HLGuard.

If anyone has any tips, or ideas, I would be very thankfull and happy.

I've done dod...just make sure the computer use has alot of ram if you intend to play on it at the same time. 512mb worth is nice more is even better. Also you just start normal half life...load custom game and set up the server and start the game and people can join through the lan....I might be a bit rusty but it'll give you a start.

Don't bother with cheat protection, if you don't trust em don't invite em. Fewer compatibility problems. Besides, if they do cheat you can walk over and slap em up.

CS servers will run on anything... Dedicated is the way to go, so find P600 and up and your good to go.
