What Did You Do Without Power?

007 on gameboy, followed by some Pocket PC NES emulation, followed but 20 hours of boredom. What did you guys do during the blackout? Only respond if you were affected please. Don't tell me "Same thing I always do" or something like that as it will only lead to fist shakeage :P

Although Philadelphia wasn't part of the big blackout, parts of Philly was in a blackout for 9 hours a couple days earlier. I just sat back, read books all day, and lit candles when it got dark. Then I went to a restuarant in an unaffected part of Philly.

I started reading <I>"Life of Pi"</I> by Yann Martel mostly, but when I got tired of that, I played the first Golden Sun on GBA SP. And again, I've said this many times before, but I'll say it once more here, God Bless that backlight. It really helps at night during blackouts

i brilliantly thought it was just my building in nyc. so i thought it would be a good idea to use candlelight to help me walk down 10 flights of stairs with a heavy ass server that i was to bring to a client's office. i didn't realize the whole city was down until i was about 3/4 mile away, via bus. by that time the streets were so crowded no vehicle traffic could move so i had to carry that heavy motherfucker all the way back home.

ha. ouch.

That fist shaking warning and you still get a couple of "no blackouts here"
"Shake harder boy!"

I was stuck downtown with a couple of friends ... so we helped a local bar with unloading its beer before it got warm.
I'm a Saint, I know.

The power prob was just a bad Karma result. Too many Failed Yorkers come down to Florida and start bitching about how things are soo much better in NY. Actually, most of the NE people who have traveled to Florida do nothing but bitch and moan about how better it was at home. lol. I would like to send them all back. South Florida is filled with people who don't want to go home, but feel that home is way better that South Florida. Yay.
