Playstation 2 DVD Parental Lock - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Anyone know how to disable the lock? I don't ever recall having entered a code, but when I went to play a rated-R DVD yesterday, I had to enter a code...wtf???

usually just input in i think all 0's or 1's and it should work..
my friends ps2 started to do that too..
Gee im glad my gamecube doesnt lock me out, or crash on my when im connecting to xbox live.. mostly because it doesnt do anything but play games.

I took mine off once. You can turn off the password in the dvd options. But for some reason i can never get it to save. Because when i start the ps2 up again, it asks for the password. But ive done it before on my older playstation.

0000 doesn't work (nor does 0001, 0002, 0003, etc) and I'm not inclined to type in 9999 codes to find the right one.

I just found a site that says the "master" code is 7444. Gotta try that one.

Good news: 7444 didn't work as the lock password, but it does work to delete the password so you can enter a new one.

IckUber Funran Location: Norman, OK	I took mine off once. You can turn off the password in the dvd options. But for some reason i can never get it to save.
