GOTY So Far?
 

Whats your game of the year so far? And whats your prediciton for 2003 GOTY?

I know it's not the best game thats come out this year, but I guess mine would have to be Warcraft 3, considering it got most of my playing time.

edit: I'm not sure If it came out this year, but I know TFT did, and that basically makes it a new game...

Jedi Academy and Splinter Cell are my picks for GOTY on the PC so far but when/if Half-Life 2 comes out this year then that'll get GOTY no matter what anyone says.

KOTOR so far has been fantastic.

Hmm...the games that I've played this year are mainly from last year. I guess the best game that I've played this year that actually came out this year is Knights of the Old Republic which is simply amazing.

In other news, I beat Metroid Prime this past January. I also beat Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem about a month or so ago. Both absolutely incredible games.

KOTOR=Knights of the old republic (just in case you didn't realize :) course you could be saying that is also a GOTR for you as well... I'll stop now)

KOTOR all the way. Cant believe its so good.

Half Life 2 will definitely be the game of the year... But FFXI is going to be getting most or all of my video game time once it comes out.

It might be a very interesting competition between KOTOR and HL2...

I can answer that one...That's just plain ole' Mai Shiranui from the KOF series of games...

One of her winposes/taunts I believe...

Fatal Fury actually (I think), but I don't recall that winning pose, in Mugen people make custom animations so I thought it was from there.

Sports: Winning Eleven Seven

FPS: Half Life 2

Racing: Burnout 2 (Xbox). Runnerup: Midnight Club II (PC).

Fatal Fury...King of Fighters...same thing basically...

Im placing my money on Half Life 2 and Soul Calibur 2.

my GOTY so far is either Raven shield or UT2K3

Definitely to this point it is KOTOR

I am going to go with HL2 for overall GOTY but I think it has a tough act to follow in the original Half Life. Hopefully it lives up to all of the hype.

My prediction for 2004 GOTY is Halo 2, I think it is going to put the XBOX on the map for good and finally catapult sales.

KOTOR is just an amazing game, but HL2 will get GOTY if it does come out..

SO far im not sure, but HL2 will be.

KOTOR is awesome,but a bit buggy.

But the end will be with a bang, and ill have to say either KOTOR or HL2 of which both I cant wait for, as ive only got a PC.

I'm pretty much inclined to agree with all these except you forgot RTS(Real Time Strategy) Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne.

I think Need for Speed: Underground is shaping up to be the best racing game, for me. I think that's the important thing. There may be better racing games out there, but NFS:U is right up my alley. And I hope Deus Ex comes out this year, because I'm looking forward to it a lot. Gotten a bit strung out on the Half-Life 2 publicity.
