Midnight Club II - (PC)
 

I just started playing Rockstar's Midnight Club II for the PC, and so far it's really good! At first, I wasn't sure if I would like it, since I'm not really into car racing games, but this one is extremely bad-ass. The graphics are pretty sweet, and the game physics are very good. Each new car you get definately has a different feel to it. The music is pretty much all rap, which I don't usually listen to, but it seems to fit really well with the game. It definately reminds me of the movie "The fast and the furious". Rockstar games is definately becoming one of my favorite developers.

So what do you guys think? Anyone else playing this game out there?

I really want to get the game for XBOX.

I tried it out on the PS2 and thought it sucked monkey nuts through a straw but the PC version look promising.

Have you tried out the online multiplayer yet?

Does this game have the same can't play over 30fps problem like the GTAIIIs?

Hmmm, are there demos? I don't really want to rent it, incase I think its shitty, but I would like to try it out.

I have the game and i'm playing over Xbox live, its wonderful, but is the PC version that much better?? The voice com. is great, but it breaks up every now and then depending on your connection. Does the pc version have voice chat?

why is it bad on ps2?

I've been playing the demo, is there a way to increase the resolution?

go to the part where you start career then keep pressing the left arrow until you see options then press down 1 time and press left arrow until you see video options. hard to find...

I haven't yet. I'm just working my way through the single player... trying to unlock all the cars and such.

Not sure, I don't exactly have a top notch machine so I wouldn't be a very good judge. Occationally I see slow-downs when there's a whole lot of stuff going on, like when I come up to an intersection or something.

I dunno if its much better than the xbox, cause I haven't tried it on xbox yet... I'd probably say the graphics are better just cause I can really crank up the resolution if I want.

Played the game pretty much all the way through... Paris is the best city and i just got burnt out on the Tokyo races. They sucked heh havent tried multiplayer but its probably pretty fun...

I just played through 10% of this game quite quickly. It's not very dimentional as far as gameplay and there aren't any statistics or modification options like in gran tourismo games... it's just mindless racing. For what it is, it's fun, and difficult, but I think I'd like it more if it were a bit more involved.

I like this game, good fun, moderate challenge, cool concept. Only bad thing is that it runs dog slow, like the actual game seconds are much slower than they should be at times. Anyone have a radeon mobility m6 card with suggestions on how to improve this? The newest drivers dont work at all, I've been using older ones..and they kinda suck.

btw, I'm running on a 2.4 P4M with 512 ram, so processor shouldn't be a problem.
