Assassins Creed
Anyone else play this game.
I think its a great game, but many people complain about its slow pace and repetitive ness. I didn't mind and once you play through the ending, it just leaves you wanting more. What do you think about this game? |
I bought it for the PS3, beat it, liked it, and now it collects dust. It's the type of game you only play through once and don't come back to again. I can see the complaints about repetitiveness, but I liked gathering data and saving the citizens as well as assassinations themselves. I'll be buying a sequel for sure, but this time I'll wait for a price drop.

It reminded me a lot of Metal Gear Solid as well as Ocarina Of Time. Loved the visuals and have a blast out running and out smarting the guards. On the other hand I hated the fact that I wa never invisible. Just walking through the streets gets strange looks.
|
Yea, I haven't played it since I finished the story.
If someone wants to play it, I suggest renting it. Anyway, *SPOILERS* Did anyone ever figure out what all the writing on the walls and floors said? I tried to figure it out but it all looks like jibberish. All I know is that its from previous test subjects. |

It's a long read and it goes in depth about all of the writings you saw in eagle vision. I thought the game was great, but like the others said it did get repetitive. They need to add more variety to the side missions, because it reminded me of Spider-Man 2 with the "get my purse" "save my balloon" missions over and over and over. More variety on what the citizens you saved said would've been nice too. The thing I enjoyed most about the game though was the free-running system and scaling the tall buildings. I'm sure they'll improve on AC2. |

Whoa. My mind almost exploded. |
I liked the game, but the actions of the assassin do get repetitive and the ending makes no sense, I will read the article and get back to you.
|
I've a feeling the game was far too cerebral for most gamers today after their action fix. I'm taking it at a slow pace and I'm yet to get bored - especially not after I discovered you can counter-attack with his assassin blade. Awesome.
|
I been playing this off and on since Christmas for the PS3, I ran into som good peeps on Warhawk which cut into my AC time, but the game has been fun so far.
I can see someone wanting to rush through it just to get a completion or ending saying that it is a boring or repetitive game, but if you pace yourself and let the game flow it does just that quite well. I'll look into the article above and see how it reads. |
I loved it. I didnt think it was too repetitive. At first the fighting was slow but as my Altair and I progressed at the game I could fly through the cities. And it was kinda fun how quickly I could. Also the story and graphics were incredible.

I LOVE this game. The game play was good, and the story was awesome. The only problem I had with it is sometimes the context sensitive control scheme would fuck me up. Like I'd go to attack and end up jumping on a horse if it was to close or something like that. If they could just fine tune that a little better, it would be a perfect game in my eyes. I can't wait for the follow ups.

I love the world and atmosphere Ubisoft created, the sounds of busy streets an people going about their buisness was great and the music was fitting and noticable without going over the top. But unless your into finding ingame collectable items and that, the questing can get pretty repetitive. Still, its an awesome experience roaming the citys rooftop to rooftop, scaling a tall building then looking back to a superb view.
A nice change of pace from the games I'd been playing most of last year anyway. |
That game was awesome,i just couldn't stop playing..At the end,i wasn't sure how to react, but after reading the explanation i just can't wait for AC2

I'm prayin for a late 2008 release. |
Great game but I agree that it can be a little repetitive in the long run. Nevertheless it's great fun and absolutely beautiful.
|
beat it, now im using it as a paper weight. Really really good for the first couple of hours. then it gets really repetitive.
its more of a rental game in my opinion |
I love this game. It is a bit repetitive, but what game, ultimately, isn't?
I have spent hours just free running through the cities, grabbing viewpoints and flags, which is still pretty difficult even with the spectacular maps you can find online. |
I really enjoyed the game too. The uniqueness of each city, for me at least, and trying to "placed" myself in the game really turned me on. I took my time and walked around quite a bit to see everything, push people around, and kind of just hang out. Trying to figure out what makes a good game intrigues me, so just see the interaction and game play was cool. Though I've not finished it yet, I plan on picking it back up again soon. The game reminds me of the old Morrowind 3 on Xbox, but with killer graphics.

I thought it was really good fun, and it can't be bad for the price I got it. I got it for £10 off eBay because the guy who listed it spelt assassins wrong!
|
I'm stuck at the ending. I haven't played it since I had to try 1000 times to kill the 10 or so guards that jump you at the same time. Still stuck there. INCREDIBLE game! I love it, but the collecting info missions are very repetitive. Still, I could do the save citizen missions all day long!
