Looking for an outdoor game
Hey everyone!
I got a specific question for you today. My dad wants to make a game that he used to play when he was younger. It's a sandbag or beanbag tossing game. You have a board at 1 end of the field that you throw bags at. the board has 16 or 10 or w/e amount of holes in it and you have to get the bags in point specific holes. like 10, 20, 60, etc... the top top one is 300. now the name we know is the french name "jeux de poches". translate as pocket game but that's not it. so now i need to as if any of you know this game and know the rules and specifications to build one too? I googled as much as i could but got nowhere. |
Try googling "corn hole".
Seriously. Once you get past the porn, there are several hundred entries. This is the official game of ex-frat boys from Ohio and Michigan everywhere. I passed no less than 3 games on sidewalks in Chicago Friday night in Lakeview. |
thanks for the info. although it's not exactly how i remembered it. The one we played at my dad's old house was a point game. as in: theres different holes with different point values which made it interesting.
The ones i found in the google search were only 1 hole boards. I'm gonna keep searching but thanks for the info Jazz. |
It is a popular carvival game... is there a website that caters to knowing the myriad of entertaining games of skill present at a carnival?

edit:
http://membres.lycos.fr/vente123456/twodescphotos4.html this is what i remember the game looking like. i think it had a bit less holes but you get the idea. 3 columns with atleast 3 rows plus 1 300points hole on the top section. after using Jet's recommendation, i did find "Bean Bag Toss" to be the real name of what i'm looking for. It's mostly kids version i'm finding but atleast i'm on the right track. thanks guys! anymore info on Bean Bag Toss would be very appreciated! |
