xbox 360 vs ps3
 

im in the market for a new gaming console. i was hoping to get some input as to what you all think. i understand that the ps3 will be difficult to get a hold of, and that the 360 is already out, but im willing to wait for the ps3. the one advantage that i like in favor of ps3 is that they have gran turismo. although most of my gaming will be sports- mostly madden.

so what do you think is better between the two? pros and cons of both-

I'd say that any comparison you're going to get is pretty speculative at this point. It's true that there are some PS3s in the hands of reviewers, but there aren't that many opinions available about the system and how it stacks up against the 360. If you're really on the fence about which to get, I'd wait for the PS3 to be released and read the rush of reviews that will come out then. They will, I am sure, compare the PS3 to the 360 until you don’t want to hear about it any more.

I decided to go for the 360 recently. I dont regret it although cant say for sure until ps3 up and running. Reasons. Decent choice of games less expensive. Also there is bound to be a price drop at xmas to compete.
Forza motorsport 2 on 360 soon will give turismo a run for its money in my opinion. Also mosst sport games and e.a updates will be on both consoles. New Madden and 2k7 are very good.

I'd say PS3, but I also bought a Sega Saturn on release so you should probably disregard anything I say.

I had a sega saturn too. It was fun while they still made games for it. They had a good football game on it. Too bad the system went nowhere...

Anyways, I have a 360 and it rocks. No complaints at all here. I use mine for games and as my primary DVD player. Totally kicks ass. :thumbsup:

Hey, I remember when it was Atari vs. Magnavox Odyssey ... my folks got me the Odyssey ... I don't think people even remember the machine.

In the days of VHS vs. Beta my buddy's parents invested in the Beta heavily ...

Anyway, now that I'm an adult with my own money I'll just get both .... I already have the 360. I've got to make up years of lost gaming time.
