There is one game for the Gamecube that I heard about that reviewers said it seemed to go to fast at times, I think it would have that zoom factor I think it called Tube Slider. I've never played it though. However, I like XG3 Extreme G Racing for the cube though... Its a combat racer if your into those games. The zoom factor was good I think

I saw that TubeRider thing for the game cube. if you can stand the music, i suppose its okay. It gets kinda, boring after a while. its all the same stuff. race through the tube, bad music, oh, catch up, keep racing in the tube. No rocks or obstacles to hit to stop you on your tube sliding frenzy. so. I wasnt too impressed. My advice, go rent a bunch of racing games and play each one. Then buy the one that you keep going back to.

there is this game for PC: Ballistics.
Claims to be the fastest racing game.
The effect they used to simulate breaking trough the soundwall is quite cool.
You can find the demo here: http://www.gamesdomain.com/demos/demo/1559.html

Wipeout Fusion is good but the older version Wipeout XL was better. I just rented Midnight Club II but I haven't tried it yet.

Cruisin' USA has to be the fastest without a doubt. I know it only says you're going like 70-90, but to drive across the US in such a short amount of time...you've got to be going pretty dang fast.

WipeoutXL would get insanely fast in the later circuits. Is Fusion worth buying for $20??
