I'm in a band so I can sing songs for real. Not that I sound good though. This game sounds basically like karoake. How does the game know if you're singing correctly?

It basically is karaoke, for your PS2.
The game judges the frequency of your voice and matches it against horizontal lines which appear on the screen. You can be in any octave as long as you have the right note. It doesn't attempt to judge the words you're saying. Yes the game has been played by ignoring the lyrics and singing "penis" repeatedly. Yes it was worth it.

Track list looks pretty awesome. I don't think this is around in Canada, unless it's actually Kareoke (sp?) Revolution.

Kareoke Revolution is something different. It has dancing as well.

The dancing is optional, though.
