This one is about putting at least one mistake in your post witch the next poster has to point out , making at least one mistake, of course.

Anyone?

Okay, this is a duhzy. You wrote "This one" without specifying what 'one' you are talking about. You put a space after 'out' and before the comma, where there should be one. The 'of course' was completly unnecessary. I feel like a grammar nazi.

surely "duhzy" should be spelt "doozy"?

You didnt capitalze the word capitalize, It also shouldn't be place in between quote marks. The apostrophy isn't placed correctly. Correctly isn't spelled, well, correctly. Lastly, Tachon is spelled Tachion.

Ah yes and spelt should be spelled (in reference to Daniel's post.)

Whats with the ')' after the period.

There was actualy around 7 miztakes on that one. :)

I'm the last one to correct a persons spelling... but its actually and mistakes... and 7 should be spelled out...

alpha phi: You have not used any punctuation and that is where I will leave that.

I seen alot of mistakes others have missed, but I will stay with Hash_Browns.
1. noone = no one
2. beleive = believe

Sadly, I, also, have seen a lot of mistakes, not just in this thread but in others.

The mistake I'm making with this post is very subtle. I'm wondering who will catch my error.

In Brilliant Idiots post the "is" should in fact be "are."

The easy mistakes that I see is no capital letter at the beginning and no punctuation at the end.

You should of used the plural pronoun are rather than is.

You should have used, "...should have..." rather than, "...should of...".

Sultana, there's an error in your signature line. There shouldn't be a comma between "open your chest there" and "and see if you have a heart". However, your signature is poetry. Does that mean the punctuation error is allowable? In which case, maybe we would all do just fine if we all posted in poetic verse.

These posts are too simple in that an error is hidden in a very short phrase. This makes finding the error too easy and the game - if one can call it that - not as challenging or rewarding as it could be. I propose writing a bit more than just one simple sentence in order to make the search for an error a bit more challenging. Thus, making this thread a bit more interesting.

"Jeez" should be in quotes.

You should have, if you weren't going for a mistake, used a comma instead of a period after 'a bit more challenging".

|agree with your premise that longer writing makes a more challenging post to proof read. Perhaps working to place many errors in a post would also up the anty.| wonder if all the errors in this one will be found. Some are better hidden than oth3rs.

I'll give you a hint. There are 10 errors in this post.

1. "oth3rs" is not a word.
2. | is not a word, I is the proper use of yourself.
3. When making a quote, amke sure you keep them within the same quotation makr, " is different than '. Also, you're suppose to use double quote mark when quoting others.
4. "Used" should not be used in pasted tense, "use" is the proper use.

Excellent! You made a mistake in pointing out the mistake! Your fourth mistake is not a mistake. "Erros," "pasted," "amke." and "suppose" are spelling / grammatical errors.

And if we want to be partikular about it, "gonna" is not, strictly speaking; propper gramar.

partikular is not spelled like that at all. Also, Proper is spelt with only one "p". I"m not even sure why you would a semi-colin in there.

Spelt is not a word, it should be "spelled." Your period belongs in the quotation marks after "p," and you need one less apostrophie in "I'm." Plus your missing a word in your last sentence.

I guess the thread's over. There are no mistakes in your post, onodrim.

Shakran, you made two mistakes. First, you mispelled the word "sometimes". Also, you forgot to place a period at the end of your 1st sentence.

mojodragon: I don't know if this is actually a mistake but it could be. You capitalized "shakran" when s/he does not capitalize it However it was the first word of the sentence.

JustJess, I noticed a few mistakes in your post. You forgot the period seperating your sentences. Also, the mistake I made was mostly contextual. If you start a list with "First", then you should continue that pattern. My third sentence should have started with "Second".

mojodragon misspelled separating and also misspelled "misspelled" in their previous post. The punctuation should also be inside the quotes (in American english at least).

Maybe try starting out your sentenses with a captial letter next time?

Nazis actually had terrible grammar. It's one of the main things they're known for. Well, that and all the murder.

Shouldn't that be "all the murders" or even "all of the murders"?

Ratbastid also had a dangling participle. It should have read, "Its one of the main things for which they are known."

ZenFilthPig should have placed a comma before his quotations and he should also have placed the question mark inside the last quote.

Charlatan used "its" instead of "it's." Also, there's the incorrect capitolization of ratbastid's nickname.

Capitalization is is spelled wrong. The proper spelling is capitalization.

Using two "is"es in a sentence can often be a subtle mistake as the speed at which we read often leads us to subconsciously remove the doubly-placed word without acknowledgeing its presence. This is a very clever ruse used in many optical illusions.

You did n't quite fool me. Apostrophe was spelled incorrectly.

FailedEagle's mistake (aside from forgetting that a thread can have more than one page) was the space between d and n. As for JJ, all I can come up with is you can't pluralize a word by just sticking "es" at the end of it though it's very possible that I missed a more serious mistake in his post which is something I have a tendancy to do late at night.
