Question:

In the Movie, Monster (Charlize Theron) The weapon is suposedly uses a 686.
The first guy she pops, the one who bashes her, she shoots him 8 times.
I thought maximum capacity for a 686 was 7?
Monster - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database
Smith & Wesson Model 686 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jetée 02-01-2010 01:30 AM

I haven't seen the film.

What kind of gun has a max capacity being even? It's not 5 rounds, usually 6, or it's not 7, but around 8, 10, 16, 22, etc.

basic scenario: foreign country (most likely Japan), in an elevator, two people go in...
young schoolgirl, and your typical petty thief. he lunges for her bag, but to his dismay,
he becomes the victim of the extremely versatile young girl's quick-wittedness, and is promptly
brought to justice via none other than a devastating German Suplex maneuver, caught on tape.

I was wondering if anyone else started singing that song when OCM wrote that. I had it stuck there for a good 2 hours.

BadNick 02-01-2010 11:52 AM

Jet, not only is that Delahaye (175 S Saoutchik Roadster) an artistically beautiful car, but it's of 1949 vintage which was also one of the finest years for humans...ask me how I know.

LE, I'm still humming that stupid tune! I think I might have a "last facts" learning disability: my school and work friends make fun of me since I unconsciously go around whistling the last song I heard in the morning. So when they first started kidding me about it they would say "Nick, have you heard "Oh Suzanna" lately? ...and I would say "wow, funny you should ask, I just heard that this morning!" doh!

Jetée 02-01-2010 12:11 PM

How do you know the year 1949 was so fine, ArtiscallyBeautifulNick?

BadNick 02-01-2010 12:19 PM

OK Jetman, I might be a bit biased. But from my P.O.V. a fine thing happened one summer day at the end of June in 1949 in Braunau Austria...not to mention the classic low rider '49 Merc'

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...ercury-001.jpg

Jetée 02-01-2010 12:22 PM

That car above was created in Austria, BranauNick?

BadNick 02-01-2010 01:55 PM

No, I was. That car was made in Detroit, just north of Eight Mile Rd.

Anyone can put the cd in and fuck up their partitions, I don't recommend doing that if you don't know what you are doing. You cousin doesn't know how to either. Just saying.

Miss Grace, PM me if you need some help. My brain is yours to pick as needed.

Zooksport2 02-03-2010 12:14 AM

Just buy another HDD, and load Windows (or whatever) and away ya go. Keep the old HDD, as a slave.....

http://www.brianstoys.com/store/imag..._LeiaSlave.jpg

BadNick 02-03-2010 06:26 AM

I like the idea of picking LordEden's brain. Zookman, I assume you mean to first format that old HDD so ring does not end up saving a polluted, corrupted, and potentially infection-laden piece of garbage.

Otherwise, it's a pretty simple thing to do if you just keep a couple things in mind: How to Format a Hard Drive With Windows XP | eHow.com I wouldn't even worry too much about having all the "drivers" since you can always get those online after you load in a properly functioning operating system.

I'm likely too old to have had any hands-on experience with Commander Keen. Electronic games didn't really show up until I was ~20+ years old and back then Pong was considered state-of-the-art high tech. And of course I was a local champ.

Skywire - Nitrome (also referenced in an earlier thread by me: here)

A game where the player guides a cable-car through a world of giant toy animals.

Skywire 2 is an interesting pixel art style game that puts you in charge of a gondola/cable car full of people that you must assist through a world of enemies to deliver the passengers to the end goal without letting too many fall out.

It’s actually pretty difficult considering the fact that you only need two buttons to control the cable car, and the graphics are fantastic in their simplicity, so give it a go and see what you think.

I don't want to get into a shouting match, but the above statement is wrong. It is so false that it makes my heart skip a beat.

Black holes do not suck, they "pull down" because the supermassive collapsing star is so colossal and accumulating so much mass at such a rapid clip, that it becomes the densest object in a universe, virtually warping time, space and gravity itself as it engulfs all around it.

It's like a magnet that so violently reacts with matter around it that it would compress itself into a smaller object than it originally began forth from, yet is denser than a thousand suns.

No, the two films are completely different other than the titles being the same, both are European films, and that they were released within a year of each other.

One is surrealist comedy/horror, and the other, well, I haven't seen the one about the photographer at sea that continually sees the same girl vanishing over and over, but i'm guessing it's comedy, because that's all I've ever known from Bozzetto (and satire).
