Moving to St. John's, NL
 

Hello All,
My wife and I are in the process of moving to St. John's, where I'm going to be going to school at Memorial University for the next year. Does anyone hail from there, who can give us some advice? We are looking for a place to live in a safe neighbourhood for us and our two cats, if anyone knows of anything available; also is second hand furniture available there, or cheap stuff we could buy and goodwill next year?

I'm not from St Johns but from what I know of Newfoundland, you'll be pretty safe anywhere you go. My wife lived there for a short time and it's truly amazing at how friendly everyone really are. Good luck, have fun!
