That took, roughly, forever to preload... and they didn't even kill it. Bastards.

superiorrain 05-10-2005 12:54 PM

Let me paint you a picture of me and that fucking frog. Heavy night drinking, came home and went to bed, then some hours woke up, swiched on the TV and there was the frog, Immediate reaction to spew everywhere. As i said fucking frog, want nothing to do with him/it.

Alright... didn't want to bring it up for fear of my just seeing things that weren't there...

Even if they almost weren't.

Here's how the charts work.

Song must be less than three minutes long.

No more than two tracks allowed on the CD single (3 if one track is an extended version).

Sales are counted from major, high street record stores only.

Mr. (or Mrs.) Fucking Frog Twat went out and bought 1000 copies of his (or her) own song.

Kind of a problem there, the guy who does the voice for crazy frog is swedish, he lives somewhere in Stockholm.

He gets royalties on the "song", he didn't compose it.

They don't have to go to shops and buy it they can get it online, as this is also included in the charts, hence the frogs success (downloads are all thing now don't you know). Oh and for the record sales need to be over 70000 in a usual week to have a chance of the number one spot (at least i pretty sure it is - i'll check and ammend if i'm wrong).

Still hate the fucking frog, wait until all his mates come out to play, that little chick is next, think of it as the summer of annoying noise.

Crazy Frog faces complaints, death threat song

It might be driving much of Britain mad but the Crazy Frog mobile phone ring tone topped the UK pop charts for a second week, the Official UK Charts Company said on Sunday.

Last week Crazy Frog's take on Axel F - the theme tune to the Beverly Hills Cop movie - became the first ring tone to reach number one when it went on sale as a CD.

Some Britons love the Crazy Frog's distractingly catchy "B-ding ding dididing..." tune and the animated frog wearing a broad smile that accompanies it on videos and TV adverts.

But just as many find them unbearably irritating.

On Thursday the Advertising Standards Authority watchdog said it had received 800 complaints about the ads.

"People say they are on too often and they want it to be taken off screen because it is driving them mad," said the watchdog, which earlier in the year received complaints from viewers who objected to the frog's visible genitalia.

The animosity has even led to the making of a new single Kill the Frog by Frog Must Die, which is due to be released later this month.

The charts do not strictly reflect national sales - they are extrapolated up from sales in a small selection of stores. If the stores in question manage to become known, only a relatively small number of CDs need to be bought in order to push the song up the charts. I don't know if this has happened with this particular 'song', but I know for certain that this has happened with other chart pop bands.
