Latch 04-26-2005 04:59 AM

p.s. good question.. this place is dead.

Redlemon 04-26-2005 06:44 AM

Every once in a while I open up a TFP Australia thread. I'm hoping that one time I'll understand what's going on. It hasn't happened yet.

Nancy 04-26-2005 09:18 AM

Mary you say? The only Mary I know who got pregnant recently is her Royal Highness Crown prinsesse Mary Elizabeth who's married to our Crown Prince, Frederik. The baby is due in October, yay!! :D

Mary's hot. Ta Nancy.

Apparently he just met her in a nightclub or something. How nice is that?

Wonder where Charles met Camilla? I heard it was at a local polo match. (She was on the opposite team, her jockey kindly gave Charles her phone number)

slimshaydee 04-26-2005 04:56 PM

ahaha cinnles
that's great.

lindseylatch 04-26-2005 06:25 PM

ha, she's pretty...he looks like kind of a doofus. :D
Jockey? are there jockeys in polo matches?

cinnles 04-26-2005 07:06 PM

I don't bloody know what the guys with the oversized novelty hammers on horses are called!

(tosser is a good guess though)

I wonder how many puppies she'll squirt out before their marriage ends.
I'm too much of a cynic to believe it will last, though I would love to be wrong.

I'm guessing two kids. That seems to be the number of kids the Royals usually get.

I have a good feeling about their marriage. They compliment each other very well on every level :)

I think she's gorgeous...and he's pretty cute too!

Nancy, do you think the babe was conceived Down Under? I mean...in Australia? (before one of you smartarses comment)

No I'm afraid it was conceived in Denmark as they weren't on official business in Australia at that time (=February) :)

Ella 04-27-2005 01:00 AM

Ahhh...well, that makes sense. Even though she looked spectacular most of the time, she did look very tired at one of the press conferences they did. And the papers say they bought a pair of baby booties in a baby shop in Tassie...front page news down there, believe me!

Who wouldn't look tired after 8 days of galla lunches, interviews, visits and sailing? She's doing one hell of a job though

As for the baby booties I don't recall them buying such a thing when they were in Tasmania? :hmm: It's possible she were pregnant at the time but they'd never say so in public and certainly never right after discovering the pregnancy themselves. That's the court's job. :)

cinnles 04-27-2005 03:21 AM

Frederick's english skills are awesome, I saw him and Mary on Denton.

Much better than my (non-existent) 2nd language skills. :(

Also, Nancy knows more about their holiday than I do about my last holiday. Beer does that... :hmm:

Did you go Nancy?

Latch 04-27-2005 03:39 AM

woah.. thought I was on Fark for a second.

Frederik's English skills are awesome indeed but they ought to be considering his long education! His accent is easy to detect though, unlike his mother who's somehow adapted the British accent perfectly.
I've noticed that Mary's accent has changed a bit as well! I guess speaking Danish all day will do that to ya..

Did I go where?

Nancy 04-27-2005 04:08 AM

^^Btw are you (and by you I mean Aussies) under the impression that Danes are bad at English or something?

cinnles 04-27-2005 04:28 AM

Nah, we were probably under the impression that danes spoke danish. ;)

Though if you asked a general aussie what they thought of the danish they'd probably say "I love those things, they're all sweet and breadlike. I have 'em with coffee."

I was wondering if you went on holidays with them. As I said, you know more about their trip than I do about my last one! ;)

We speak strayen. It's not officially recognised as a language, but I'm sure there's some guidelines up on the web.

Here's a starter:

Abbreviate everything.

Examples:
Underwear: Undies
Vegetables: Vegies
Cigarettes: Ciggies
Football (rugby in other countries, victoria): Footy
Petrol: Petty
Carburettor: Carby
Barbeque: Barby
Anyone's name with two syllables or more (ie, stuart, Andrew): Stuey, Andy. (Nancy is, err, Nancy.)

slimshaydee 04-27-2005 04:31 AM

sunnies
blowies

etc etc

Ahh.. the usual

We speak Danish of course but the department of education has made sure that every child is taught English from the 5th grade (to 9th or 10th grade) and German from the 7th grade. Therefore the average Dane speaks English very well :)

I see, lol. No I did not go with them.. the reason why I know so much about them is because the media here shows us any important thing going on in the royal family's life.

Hahahah cool! That's not a real language is it? Isn't i more like certain words you pronounce differently?

Nope - pretty much all words end up like that. We are a generally lazy bunch - if you can say it in 1 syllable instead of 2, we will.

cinnles 04-27-2005 03:26 PM

Well, I guess you could say it's english with a different dialect. ;)

Stick 04-27-2005 10:43 PM

I'm so lazy I had to do a line of speed just to get the energy to write this sentance.

Ella 04-28-2005 12:32 AM

Oi Stick, ya cunt! Where's mine?!

dlish 04-28-2005 02:09 AM

Mary can afford lots of coke now. She doesn't want to be associated with bogan speed freaks like us anymore.

bing bing 05-06-2005 08:49 PM

She's the most beautiful woman on earth.
