I dreamt about the red x last night. Explore the reason why it's a red x.

bing bing 02-04-2005 06:16 PM

ok, 12 has got me.

Rexes mean one of two things. Either the image is linked wrong, or the image is messed. The image is linked correctly...

Now what am I missing on #9? I guess it's an easy one since the rest of you breezed by it. :|

You'll need photoshop to solve this one. Now hurry up and get to 12 and help me. Bitch.

Slavakion 02-04-2005 08:29 PM

Hah, Image Puzzle = pwned.

Number 12... the address is written clear across it. You can easily see the .htm, but the rest is there. Even more obvious, you might say. Check all of the left-hand side of the pic. And make sure you note how the letters are written.

Bitch. ;)

EDIT: Code = pwned as well.

Stuck on math 6.

(PS, I'll be away until Sunday, so if you're still stuck... figure it out I guess).

Rdr4evr 02-04-2005 09:12 PM

Can't figure out the stupid rexed one...

bing bing 02-04-2005 09:22 PM

Thx bitch! peace out!

up to the maths puzzle now. god help me.

Derwood 02-04-2005 09:31 PM

I too am stuck on 6. The clues you guys have given haven't helped.

slimshaydee 02-04-2005 09:49 PM

ok someone just PM me the damn rex one. seriously

Stiltzkin 02-05-2005 09:41 PM

This game isn't fair. I'm part of the 2% of the world's populations that cannot do "magic eye". I had to get my brother to do that one for me.

The text is always in written in a clear form
This is not true for stage 6.

Also, on stage 5, it has the file extension .html, yet if you enter the URL as .html it doesn't work. I had to assume .htm
What other mistakes exist in this puzzle? >___>

Damn it, stage 6 is pissing me off. 30+ urls and nill so far...

All right... I'm stuck on 12 now. Screw this illogical game.

EDIT: Oookay. Got 12. That was... interesting. Hint for 12: the url is case-sensitive. Be careful.

EDIT: Grr... 13 sucks. It isn't IOY.HTM, or IOV.HTM

rhaevyn 02-05-2005 11:01 PM

Stuck on 6

Edit: Got it! :)

Edit 2: I'm definitely stuck on 8 now  Help, please? I don't get any of the hints.

Stiltzkin 02-05-2005 11:37 PM

rhaevyn: save the picture and then zoom up really, really close to the letters.

Still stuck on 13.
URL's that don't work on 13:
IOVY.HTM
IOY.HTM
IpqY.HTM
ICOVY.HTM
ICOY.HTM
IOCY.HTM

I'll be damned if I can find any more letters stuffed in there.

Call me stupid, but I still don't see it lol How close do I need to zoom in?

Stiltzkin 02-05-2005 11:46 PM

Pay specific attention to the first word.

Stiltzkin 02-05-2005 11:48 PM

Holy freaking shit. 13 was easier than... god damn. I need to smack my head against a wall now or something.

14 is stupid because there are two types of V's... >__>

Got 15. 15 is super easy if you have photoshop.

rhaevyn 02-05-2005 11:51 PM

ahhh! i still don't see it!

maybe it's time for me to go to bed lol...but then i'll stay awake wondering what it is!

Hehehe. Okay, pay attention to how BRIGHT or DARK certain letters are in comparison to other letters... ^_^

Stage 4 in the code puzzle was clever yet simple.

fallsauce 02-06-2005 12:00 AM

Alright, I'm one of those people still stuck on 6, help?

damn it, why isn't it x.htm!!

Yay, got it! lol I actually noticed that some letters were brighter/darker before I read your hint :)

Edit: Stuck on 11, but that'll have to wait several hours because it's waaaay past my bedtime. :hmm: Good night/morning!

This one is really ridiculous. It pissed me off. It really has nothing to do with the image itself. Think more in terms of the actual file, as opposed to the image.

I'm stuck on #4 of the math puzzle. I've yet to encounter in my life a situation where you can simply add a coordinate to an integer. They're clearly using notation that I've never seen before.

0,710
If that is a polar coordinate, then you'd simply have the cartesian coordinate 0,0. So... 1/8*1000=125
125.htm doesn't work.
If it is just straight up a cartesian coordinate, then we have
(1/8+710)*1000=710125
710125.htm doesn't work either.
I don't know how to do this! :D

Crazy French and their math notation! It's just a period. GRRR!

fallsauce 02-06-2005 12:45 AM

for #6, is it an actual word, or is it random letters?

Random letters. Another hint: image6.jpg isn't actually an image file.

Problem 5 of the math is pissing me off. How can it not be 20000? Do they want units or something? >__>
Problem 5 looks so easy I'm starting to doubt if 1+1=2
/goes insane
/explodes

Damn it, I need some porn.

fallsauce 02-06-2005 01:26 AM

#12 - Does it have anything to do with that black line down the middle?

(I can just imagine how I'll be at the math puzzles if I can't even figure this out...)

The big fat vertical line is a letter. That is a gigantic clue. Also, don't forget to look to the far left of the picture.

fallsauce 02-06-2005 01:37 AM

aah... I missed the far left side.

Stiltzkin 02-06-2005 08:37 AM

D'oh! Question 5 is phrased in a far too ambiguous manner. They want you to double the area.

Derwood 02-06-2005 09:48 AM

Hint for #6: Spoiler: Play with file extensions

Spoiler: You don't even need to. Just open with a different program.

dirtyrascal7 02-06-2005 10:33 AM

what am i missing in the image puzzle #5?

i tried opening it in IE, but that didn't help me...

Cervantes 02-06-2005 10:40 AM

Hmmm.. I don't get #15... I've tried tweaking around with it in photoshop but I'm just getting white and black noice....

Edit: Hah, Finally got #15.. tricky one.

Pip 02-06-2005 12:49 PM

Aargh! Somebody please give me a hint for #11! Pretty please!

It's always a good idea to hit ctrl-a on #11.

I believe Etienne is from Sweden, judging by his mail adress. :D

And a million hugs to Cervantes! Thank you!

rhaevyn 02-06-2005 03:38 PM

Can I get a hint on 13?

Stiltzkin 02-06-2005 03:56 PM

rhaevyn: Remember that in every image there is always a filename such as blah.htm
This one is no different, therefore, you may be mistaking one character for something it is not because of a certain other character.

rhaevyn 02-06-2005 04:46 PM

Still not getting it, Stiltzkin :(
