dust
 

so far today each time i have walked outside i have had to remind myself that i am in townsville and not the likes of los angeles. why i hear you ask? because the whole town is covered in the remenants of a dust storm out in long reach yesterday. when you look up into the sky all you can see is dust dust and more dust (instead of a usual nice clear blue sky) and i keep thinking that i have some how been teleported to LA with all its smog etc. if anybody has ever been to townsville you can barely see mt stuart, castle hill is non existant and there is no magnetic island at the moment.

so hows the weather where you are? i hear that sydney has had its roof ripped off and adelaide has been snowed on.

Yep just another another Melbourne day as far as weather is concerned!

^^^ never been to melbourne. whats the deal with the weather? i have heard people say all kinds of things about it changing etc... so whats the deal?

We had storms here in Brissie last night, but I couldn't see the need to let them interrupt my chat with a gal-pal. Today was hot...but not muggy.

Well let me sum it up for you
Autumn - cold, shithouse and raining
Winter - cold, shithouse and raining
Spring - cold, shithouse and raining
Summer - all of the above

But hell....at least you can get a decent latte there!

Sydney has one thing going for it. When it rains, it does its business fast and returns to normal - about 30 mils here last night in about an hour, then back to blue skies and warm this morning :)

In melbourne the weather always gets worse as the day goes on.
