How's Vancouver Changed?
 

I've been living out of the country for the last 3 years, and i'm moving back home at xmas. I was home once for a couple of weeks, but i moved between Vancouver and Toronto. So, can anyone tell me if/how Van has changed? What's new? What's gone? Any places to recommend?

let's see, there's a bunch of neighbourhoods now with the word "-town" on the end. The Cambie Street bridge isn't wooden anymore. The WhiteCaps don't play out of Empire Stadium anymore. The airport is new.

What, in the last three years??? I haven't noticed much. Maybe another couple 100 Starbucks but that's about it.

(Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)

There's a new mall in Richmond - but that's basically empty except for the giant everything for $2 store.

Lots of contstruction in the Brentwood Mall area. Tons of Condos going up there, and in the downtown area near Yaletown.

Recommendations? - Nothing new out of the ordinary. Kobe Steak House downtown on Alberni is good. I'll be setting up a food forum type website in the near future so we can all just refer each other to good places to eat. Drop me a line and I'll put you on the list to notify once it comes out.
