Blokesworld
I think I'm going to have to sit up and watch this when it starts:

I'm weary of comedies that cross over to the mainstream from obscure channels... they tend to lose they're funniness because they have to conform. Definately worth a look though, bit like me.
|
isn't that just a rip off of the man show?
|
There was a blokesworld on Channel 31 (the public Melbourne channel) that this guy at work went on about nonstop... is it a copy of that? I've never seen it.. but he loved it.
Man Show was good... so if it's a good ripoff (and ends w/ Girls on Trampolines).. that'd be nice ;) |

It IS the blokesworld moved over from channel 31. |
I take the slimshaydee approach of just randomly saying stuff that may be related to the article, without actually reading it ;)

Next thing you know you'll be wearing Windsor-Smiths...

|
I've seen this show a few times
Pole Position is awesome you get to see boobs |
well - I started the thread and still haven't seen it. Obviously I wasn't that keen
|
The show's absolute, unabashed shit.
It's just a pile of promotions for VB and Ford. I have no problem with product promotion, but it's just insane in this show. It also really shows that they're trying waaaay too hard to look blokey at all times. It's basically boring. If I wanted titties and beer, I have a girlfriend and a well stocked fridge, which is much better than just watching them on the telly. A much better example of this sort of thing would be the ABC series "Double the Fist". It's just a sad attempt at making fun of some stereotype of white Aussie males (the only group you can piss on now without getting anti-discrimination cases crammed up yer arse). |

I'm a flanny wearing, tattoo covered, Harley riding thug and I didn't laugh once. |
yeah, i've seen this show. not impressed.
it could do with some sort of professionalism... i mean, not every 'aussie bloke' is as amateur in style as these clowns, and it doesn't take a big budget either... just some sort of clever programming... ah, whatever. it not even worth considering. |
Funny - I started this thread - and finally got to see this show last night (flicking over from the cricket).
It is crap. |
Apparently the first couple were good, but then they ran out of material and it's crap now (as you say).
Seems to happen with many, many, many shows. |
I wonder if Meri is talking about Rove (re: shows that go bad when they go to commercial telly)? If that's the case he was never funny to begin with, but at least he had that big scottish bloke when he was on channel 9.
That guy was funny. :) |
hahha.. its alright show
abit too late though :( |
ummm...
in this backward state on the west of Australia, we don't get shows like that... but i've cn a movie version, and that was AWESOME! from what i can remember... i was kinda drunk... so maybe i can't judge 2 well... |
