TV Programs shoots the metrosexuality trend in Australia?

Hi guys,

I am doing a research on metrosexuality for one of my subjects. I was wondering if u guys could give me some feedback on this topics:

1. Does TV programs such as Queer Eye For A Straight Guy have an impact on the metrosexuality trend? If yes, how?

2. Do you think guys, espeacially straight guys follow what they do for real?

3. Is metrosexuality a social trend or is it in as a culture/sub-culture in Australia?

I do appreaciate your replys loads. My email: ivan_kay2002@yahoo.com

Thanks guys, Good Day! :)

I barely have a grasp on reality, let alone metrosexuality, so don't feel qualified to respond.

Raving.

Unfortunately I've slipped into psuedo-metrosexuality, and I blame my football club as the rest of the bastards are 19/20 and hog all the chicks, so in order to be a chance, one must pay $400 for a pair of jeans. I draw the line at foundation though.

Metrosexuality isn't a sub-culture, it's just a trend. I don't think TV programs have that much of an impact, I think it comes down more to women. Men don;t really care what they look like, we just put in effort to increase the chances of picking up.

If men could fuck in cardboard boxes, we wouldn't buy houses.

Oh yeah, that's rich Shaydee considering your pic...

Does anyone here watch queer eye for a straight guy show?
What do you guys think about it?
So you guys think that women wants men to look good, that's it?

Maybe I've been living in a vacuum, but I had never even heard of Metrosexuality until you asked the question..... I guess I just need to watch more TV. Either that or buy a dictionary.

Anyway, I agree with Meri. It's all about attracting the ladies. If I'm going out and there is a chance of meeting or picking up girls, I'd do whatever it took to give myself an edge (christ knows I need it). If a TV show is happy to give tips, and a few reminders of the blindingly obvious that help in this quest for girls, I'm all for it.

In my opinion, the reason this show seems so successful is that a straight guy giving pickup tips and advice just isn't credible - mainly because if he was so successful, he would keep it all to himself (bastard!) or be charging $$$ for his advice. But a gay guy? He must be telling the truth......

It's all about competition - survival of the fittest.
