The Pooltable

That is cool. I want one! Is that real water? I'd love to make it into an aquarium.

It would have to have a glass surface instead of felt, so the dynamics would be all wrong. Probably a photoshop. But, very cool!

Also, the picture has wind ripples showing in the shadows.

i'm fairly certain those balls would sink rather than float.
funny idea tho :) |
Niiiice slice. Thanks, Nance. ;)

Thats actually a really neat idea. I think that one is photoshopped for sure, but I think it could be made to work for real. The surface would be glass of course, but theres the problem with the ball dynamics like redlemon said.
But what if the balls had a felt coat? The friction type would be the same as the normal thing - felt surface and smooth balls, just flipped - smooth surface and felt balls. Think it would work? |
glass top..........balls can sit as they are now.
.....no? |
well sure. with a glass top, the balls will sit where they are in the pic.
but i don't see any hint of a glass reflection, so i'm saying there's NO glass & the balls should sink. it's got to be a photochop. the bumpers are pretty fuzzy too by comparison to the wood grain of the table. photochop. still. i like the concept. |
todd said "felt balls"...
:D |
todd also said "smooth balls." Pfffft.
|
It's indeed a Photoshop.. here's the original picture:
