Whatever happened to brumbies?
I recall they used to be a bit of a pest (the horses not Zambian Georgie & the boys.)

Nah, but a coupla hundred station owners in helicopters put a fair dint in the numbers...
Still see a few in the highlands around Albury, not ass many as u used to though. |
I fell off a brumby when I was around 14....it was kind of broken in but still wild as fuck at heart. I was riding the beast too fast for comfort when I kind of slipped off. God knows what happened but I ended up being dragged in the stirrup for a bit before being dumped unceremoniously in the dirt. I didn't get on another horse for over four years after that.
