I had a 5:30M shift today, and where I work is just a block away from the street the parade marches down. I saw the people piling up and bits of the parade from my window. You gotta love the screaming Calgary pride :)

I was out @ Tequila on thur and had a blast!

Yehaw, off to do some Stampeeding this afternoon. Gonna catch the rodeo then hit the midway\beergardens. Gonna be a gooood day.

my mom was there like 30 years ago and i think she still thinks about it. have fun!

Oh man! It's been about six years since I've been to the Stampede. :( I'll have to plan a business trip around it next year.

Tip a pint for us who can't make it, Unga! And tip two for the poor sods who don't know what they're missing. :D

the parties on 17th should be pretty wild.

The last, and only time, I made the Stampede was in 1981 when I went to the Boy Scouts Canadian Jambouree in Kananaskis. We took a day trip into Calgary to visit the Stampede.

I haven't been back since. Shame really.

I always go on the last day and go up the side of the saddledome closest to the grandstand best free place to see the fireworks

I gotta miss the stampede this year. :( really too bad.

Im having a blast this year!
Again I went to Tequila last night. I can't say if I had a better time than last. Both were too much fun.
What are all of your stampede activities you all take in?

I like stampede cause it's the anniversary of my GF and I getting drunk and hooking up. 3 years so far and still going strong.

I don't think I'm seeing it this year due to time restraints, but i usually watch the hypnotist show if its on. I always wanted to watch his private 18+ show. Oh and super dogs :)

I saw part of the hypnotist, I forget his name, but he was getting guys/gals to dance w/ him.
I got there too late to get up there for myself. I personnaly don't believe them, but am curious to find out first hand if real or just actors up there,

Was it Terry Stokes?
If so, his show is boring if you've seen it before.

He does the same stuff, and even makes the same jokes.

I dont even know his name. It was too hot this year to stand outside and watch him. The people in front of us didnt provide enough shade :P

yeah, pretty sure that was his name.
It was boring, like I said I saw 10 minutes or so of him.
I was @ the beer gardens and still left.

There's just something so... sweet about that :)
