good song, but not a very respectable action. however, i usually like to give the benefit of a doubt, and i'm sure there is some story behind what we are seeing. making any judgements on what you see without hearing the whole story is making a decision based on ignorance, which is not normally a good idea. but still, shoving someone around like that (woman or not) isn't generally a nice thing to do.

I've moved this from Tilted Music to General Discussion because, quite frankly, that's what I would like to see come out of this. Some discussion.
So...with that in mind...is abusive behavior, of this sort, now tollerated? Is this behavior accepted? In fact...is it even expected, within the hip hop culture? What message(s) is/are being sent? Granted, there is not much that you can glean from a 4 second loop. What precipitated? What followed? But...it's all we seem to have to work with, so let's make the best of it.

I think it is from the hard knock life tour. I have the DVD and women dont necessarily get treated with much respect. The hip hop culture has never really treated women with respect anyway, but at the same time most the women are groupie sluts and they want the rappers to treat them that way. This is not anything new, so I dont think its much of a surprise.

I should have been more specific. I didnt mean just physical abuse, but more sexual. No, I dont think it is acceptable whatsoever, but they dont fight it, maybe out of fear, maybe because they like it, but they go along with it.
