The 33 1/3 second mystery #45
Group A: Dirty Harry, The Odd Couple, Ghandi, A Streetcar Named Desire, From Russia with Love
Group B: Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Joker is Wild, The Sandpiper, The Lion King, High Noon The difference? |
A - stars still living
B - stars dead only a guess, since marlo died in the past few days... |
don't have a guess, but the stars in Lion King aren't dead....just their careers are
I do have a guess-a long shot-first group, the theme songs were instrumental, the second group, had lyrics? |
the first group are all plays
the second group had hit songs come from them |
either that or the first ones all had marlon brando in them
|
C'mon-you folks can do better than that!
One guess is on the right track. |
Group A-theme songs were written for the movie
Group B-theme songs were not titled same as the movies or were established songs? |
Colder
|
AARRGGHHH!!! it IS something with the theme songs, right?
|
Group A- First plays, then movies
Group B- First movies, then plays |
Dirty Harry was a play????
Groupe B won oscars for their theme songs, all released and all sung. Group A's instrumentals didn't win??? |
ng, you're a trip...
|
Yes, music is key to the answer.
From Dirty Harry - The play: Methinks I know what wonderment thou hast. Didst six stings of fire escape my hand, or merely five? Falsehood would cross these lips were I to vow with certainty. Speak to me, thou mewling base-court lout! Have ye a lucky feeling? |

|

|
Yes, but not about Brando.
But in his honor, I'll get in a t-shirt, go into the city, and scream a woman's name until she either appears, or I get locked up. :suave: |
Here is the deal:
Group A: all won or were nominated for awards but Not for songs in their soundtrack... with the exception of From Russia with Love which was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1965 for the song "From Russia with Love" but didn't win Group B: All of these titles won Oscars for Best Music, Orignial Song 1962 - Breakfast at Tiffany's - "Moon River" 1958 - The Joker is Wild - "All the Way" 1966 - The Sandpiper - "The Shadow of your Smile" 1995 - The Lion King - "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" 1953 - High Noon - "High Noon (Do Not Forsake Me)" |
