We pet beavers up here! Just ask my girlfriend.

We were down in Lost Wages and Arizona, last March break, and were riding our rented Harleys along Route 66. At a gas station, the guy asks "Where're ya from?". "Canada" we reply. He says "Hey, I know a guy from Canada, do you know so-and-so?". We had to tell him it wasn't likely. Canada is a big place. Maybe he thought Canada was a little town up north or something.

while not all ask funny questions. It amazes me when some from the east coast like in NY, NJ, even ME.. have asked if we have paved roads, running water, etc..

The funniest I ever saw was a car load from NY who came here in July to go Skiing.. Pretty funny to see car loaded down with ski gear in the middle of summer

in general i like americans , sure they`re not quite as informed about us as we are of them ,but then again when you get your ass kicked out of a country , you tend not to write alot in your history books about about it.the only good story i can relate is as a kid growing up in a border town in ontario , i was once stopped by a man and his wife from texas and asked how long it would take to get to vancouver. they had no idea that canada was as big as it was , he thought it was only a couple hour drive.

Yeah and sometimes when they are done the dishes, vacuuming and laundry, we actually let them eat and maybe talk.;)

Last year I was in New England for a few days and meet a couple in a bar that were from Rhode Island. My cellphone rang and the guy actually said to me,."Wow, you have that technology in Canada?" I responded by saying, "Well the Canadian government was going to string millions of miles of phone cable to get everyone connected but figured instead giving everyone a cellphone would be more productive and cost efficient." I'm not kidding. Anyways the guy and his wife were good sports so I bought them a good imported Canadian bottle of beer. I think it was Molson Golden.

Watch em closely when they do laundry, if they slip and fall in, they tend to be all fuzzy, and kinky when dry. Blow drying them is fun though!

Serious now. I deal with both dispachers, and truck drivers out of Canada on a fairly regular basis. Collectively they are the nicest bunch of people you would ever want to do business with. Friendly, polite, and most accomodating...I'm American, but have to say that I seldom see those qualities in my countrymen doing the same jobs.

And more fun is when they get tumble dried followed by a massage and facial. ;)
