A question for the people outside the US
 

Here in the states we have these channels on the TV that run nothing but reruns of shows and old movies. They get a season of reruns of old shows and show them non-stop, also they may get an ancient movie and show that NON-STOP FOR WEEKS!

So my question, do they have this kinda TV channel in Europe and stuff?

I don't really know. At my house I only get one channel, and thats CBC. Good old Canadian stuff.

Yeah. We call that the Prime Network up here in Canada.

canadian TV is pretty much the same as American except with a lot of bland, boring, "proud to be canadian" bullshit shows clogging up some of the networks. The movie channels in the US are infinately better then the Canadian movie channels, thats why megets the american sattelite. The only thing better in Canada is that the E! show Wild On! has NO CENSORSHIP

well, in Sydney we have 5 free-to-air channels (6 if you can get community 31).

you can also get pay-tv. that takes the total up to about 50 channels.

Some of the pay-tv channels seem to play old shows a lot. But i seriously doubt its quite on the same scale as the US.

Well the cable network here in Sydney that bundy just mentioned has actually done some okay stuff with repeats over the years.

One time they showed EVERY single episode of Beavis and Butthead one after the other. Since then they've done the same thing with Seinfeld, the Simpsons, Lexx and the first season of 24.

It allows you to make up a half dozen videos of good programs without putting any effort into setting the video timer.

In UK we get no free channels....

pay for TV license - What is that shiat? Get 5 channels - 2 w/out commercials BBC1/BBC2, yearly bill, and they send "Detector Vans" around which actually scan for Telly's - Too Sci Fi

Pay for Cable/Satellite get 50-80 channels, monthly bill

Pay for digital box - get 15-20 Channels, one of payment for Box.

Yes we get Rerun channels too. Not so many showing the same movie over and over less its Sky movies.

TV is pretty shite 'cept for BBC2, spend more time here :)
