Ive been thinking a lot about tattoos lately and i would like some ideas, I kinda like the idea of Strongbad or TROGDOR on the arm. I"ll consider all posts:D

The only really good suggestion i can come up with is, after you have your idea, sit on it for six months. I would advise against running out and just getting a tat. After the six months and your still gung ho about your idea. Go for it. Remember, tattoos are for life. I wish someone had given me this same advise when I was young and full of piss and vinegear. Be sure to go to a studio that is clean, you don't want to catch any critters from your tattoo experience.

Get a word search ... you'll be the life of the party.

i have often heard, and it still sits with me, tattoos are for sailors, whores, and marines...

i agree with bparker. Come up with something and wait and see if its what you want. or just get whatever in a less obvious place on the body.

My sister got a tattoo! ON her bottom!!! I think shes planning on telling my mom tonite, because we are going over to my sisters apartment. Great food (boyfriend is a cert. chef :D)

I think Prosequence's idea is good.... not logical and very painful, but good. Are you really thinking of getting one? Or just a thread starter? I agree with sitting on them for a year, that's what I did with mine.

As for what to get... how about shaving your head and tattooing a globe on there. Or a squished bug on the bottom of your foot? Or a 'Made In Canada' on the back of your neck? Or 'Exit Only' on your butt?

Go with something tribal...If that interests you.

When I decide to get my Tattoo, It's gonna be a Tribal design. I just don't know what kind I want..It's going on my upper back somewhere, No Idea How big I want it yet.

Still have alot of planning to do..Cause I don't want to not want to have it 20 years from now.

But ya...Tribal is the way to go...IMO anyways.

You don't need to wait a year. You're smarter than that. Go out and get really drunk, then go to the tatooist. Pick something at random. Express your individuality. C'mon, everyone's doin' it.

Cathy Freeman (great Aussie runner) has a tattoo on her that says, ´cos i´m free´.
