I love the signature of Zeus. I think I'll be using that one.

Ha! That's funny. My sig looks like a drunk chicken stepped in an ink well and walked on the paper. I've seen cashiers hold the receipt and card up together as if to compare, but half the time their eyes are on something else. They're just going through the motions for their boss.

The new Department of Defense Common Access Card, which is replacing the standard green "military ID", has two bar codes, a magnetic stripe, a computer chip, TWO pictures, SSN, date of birth, blood type, organ donor status, and other info, but does NOT have a signature on it. It might be encoded on the computer chip, though. I know a fingerprint is.

When cashiers ask for ID, I'll flash that card and it's okay for just about all of them. I take it as proof that they're not checking your signature, only your name. I'm forced to use my driver's license for those sticklers who do want to see a signature; less than once a month that happens, though.

Zeus is not happy with an extra $8.72 added to his monthly bill from Trader Joe's.

Beware!
