Games you can play along with on Television
This premiere edition: The Lost premiere edition!
http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kx...zta5o1_500.jpg Print our Lost bingo cards and play along with the premiere | SCI FI Wire gather up some checkers pieces, and choose whichever card appeals to you most (in the link above) and see if you can figure out the premise of Lost any better now than in seasons prior. -- (my take: this still won't drag me in. I fell off on Lost after season 1, episode whatever - island hatch living room) |
my wife is upstairs watching it right now...I should see if she wants to play this bingo card thing

Seinfeld collage
Name as many Seinfeld references / episodes you can as you encounter the items in the image.
(nearly all episodes follow this example: "The Robbery, The Wife, The Deal" in identifying themselves) http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kz...vqipo1_500.jpg (click to make image larger) |
This thread reminds me of a game that literally was played on television. I remember when I was a little kid playing Winky Dink and it felt so "interactive"

we used to play college bowl on sunday afternoons back in high school - bunch of us would get together at somebody's house and regularly beat the "regulars..."

"Games you can play along with on Television" ... or in this case, a test of your intimate knowledge of film characters and pop culture.
This is the "Geek Alphabet", and what I'd like to see is if we can complete the entire alphabet in ten posts or less, without looking up any of the characters, their films, or any sort of instanteous research which aids in giving us the answer. Premise is simple: name each character that corresponds with the letter of the alphabet. Once all 26 are named correctly = success! I'll restrict it to each subsequent member can name upwards of, but no more than, 3 characters a go. We'll leave this collaboratiive endeavor open for a week's time, and see if it was a failure on my part or not. Let's begin: http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l5...3o1_r1_500.gif Z - Steve Zissou, "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" Y - Yoda, "Star Wars" franchise, broadly, all episodes save for the first (I think). V - Vincent Vega, "Pulp Fiction" post-script: if you think any of the guesses may be wrong, bring them up to see if there may be a better choice than what was originally stated, then, consensus rules. |
W - Wayne Campbell (played by Mike Myers)
E - Edward Scissorhands |
G - Gandalf (Lord of the Rings)
I - Indiana Jones |
T - Tony Montana, "Scarface"
L - Leeloo, "The Fifth Element" C ... I don't know the character's name here, but I thought I'd give a hint for anyone subsequently guessing: it's from a Coen Brothers movie, a recent one, starring Clooney, McDermott, and Brad Pitt, which I think the 'C' letter directly corresponds to whatever character Pitt played. That's all I have. |
I can't supply all of the names here .. (exasperated and short, 'cause of the mugginess)
D - (The) Dude, "The Big Lebowski" N - Nacho, "Nacho Libre" R - Ron Burgundy, "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" updated board: http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/9783/...bjl1qznd83.gif guesses still left: A, B, C, F, H, J, K, M, O, P, Q, S, U, X |
