20) No. (I'll be charitable and say you have correctly assumed the band, though.)
This is the final push; one final guess from 5 different people to ascertain the correct song.

My last guess will be, "Hangar 18"?

As much much I love listening to "Hangar 18", I'm sorry to say that is not the particular song in question, Punk.
If it helps at all, the song ties into something that took place over the weekend.

No, it is not. It has been determined the song was written and released between the years 1990 and 1999.

Yes. It is. On both counts. (I was waiting the required 24 hours so my posts wouldn't merge)
21 June, in addition to being the summer equinox (solstice), was also the celebration of Fête de la Musique, now 28 years into its annual festivities. It promotes both small-venue and professional music artists to "make music", and is especially responsive to the French-style of music writing. So, one of the first songs that popped into my head that somewhat related in its theme was Megadeth's À Tout le Monde. That's it. Wrexify, you take over.

5) No - see below After a quick search, I found that there was a character with the same name who DID appear briefly on TV. They are NOT the same character and I'm not the one who appeared on TV.
