I feel guilty everytime I look at mine.

Donated twice in order to make myself feel just a tad bit better and I still don't.......if you don't know what I'm talking about then go check out the GD and read up on the slow down and what people have done for this site.

I'm not feeling guilty about having an avatar. As i understand it's just a token gesture...

What i AM feeling guilty about is the fact that my credit card is maxed out, so i have been unable to donate yet. This will change VERY soon and therefore my entry into this community will be complete...

And then i will donate again. Then again.

I think the thing is with a lot of people that for some it (getting an avatar) is just a goal...you can spend all night posting useless crap to get to the numerical goal and get....ta da da da.....an avatar.
Well, big deal. Anyone who is a committed person to the site who knows of the "black out" as I call it realizes that people who have had an avatar for the beginning of time (or TFP V 4) willingly said screw that in order to make a stand for tfp. Because, yes...it is that special a place.
I, personally don't feel good about bringing my little girl back. Yes, she slowly became a part of me but so much more did this place and for that....I do the hmmmm thing a lot.
Feel bad but donate money, time energy....but still.....

I have vowed to donate.

Now all I need is spare cash and a new account (I have yet to report my current card lost.)

It may take time, but hey, I'm sure tfp'll still be ere...

Ok, I'm feeling guilty after reading that slowness post. I love my av already, but if just one less av takes that little bit of burden off of the server, my av can piss off.

I'll just put it on every now and again...for a coupla days. Then switch it back off, and go in some kinda cycle.
