actually, we stayed in king of prussia and attended a religious ceremony in narberth for one of mar's cousin's kids...i'd forgotten how thoroughly miserable the sure-kill expressway can be, be it rush hour or any other time of the day...we'll hook up sometime... |
North of 40N?

see, small world. I live in Narberth...the :hearts: of the Main Line...as they say.

West of 115W?
|
Tull,
I think since he said he's east of the Mississippi, he must be way east of 115W. Throw away all of your navigation devices and get a good navigator ;) unc, Since you like golf, are you at Augusta National in Augusta, GA? |
tully, i already said not west of 83...
not augusta... |
Could have swore you said W of Miss. I promise if these guy don't stop pounding on the roof next door soon I'll drop out of the game.
Florida? |

Are you in North Carolina?

I'd go stay at a hotel at this point if it weren't for my two dogs. / end thread jack, sorry |
sorry to hear of your problems, Tul. I won't make negative comments about your navigation abilities again since that noise would drive me nuts.
|
I really didn't take it negative. Thought it was kind of funny, course for some reason I'm finding humor in odd things lately.
But I don't want to be mucking up the gears for everyone else. 5-6 weeks now they have to be done soon. |
tully - yes

...this game suddenly reminded me of a TV show I really liked when I was a kid...so that's ~50 years ago. It was "What in the World" done by the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology...still one of my favorite museums in Philly. Here's a blurb about it: ""...What in the World?® was the Museum's popular weekly half-hour television program which was first seen in 1951 and which ran for 14 years. By the early 60s it was one of the oldest programs on television, bringing positive reviews and a steady stream of fanmail to the Museum which continues to this day. On each What in the World?® program, four or five unidentified objects were presented to a panel of experts who were asked to guess what each piece was, where it came from, how old it was, and how it was used. Objects were selected from storerooms and had never before been seen by the panel. Before the experts guessed, the audience was told what the object was, and, during the course of the program, could watch the thought processes of real --and often fallible!-- anthropologists and archaeologists...."" I don't think it was this show but a similar show where the panel were blindfolded and had to evaluate the objects just by touch and sometimes they were fakes. |

Damn, Tully, I didn't know you were really in the Yucatan! Don't fall into any cenotes. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...YAYD1BWJ00.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cs5/cenote.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s20Ik20Kil.jpg |

Yes.
Sorry had to go get a bite, no time to cook today. |
How about Lhasa?
|
No.
Just five rings and you're there. |
Five rings suggests Olympics to me, which makes me think Beijing, but since uncle phil already said Peking...and as he said: "or, to some of us purists, peiping" I assume it can't be Beijing...unless Tully's noise problem is acting up again.
So how about Norbulingka...since I think the Olympic torch started from there on the way to Lhasa. |
chung king?

Yeah we're getting kind of shorthand in this game, speaking short handed I too really like this thread. But somehow feel it's sad it's down to just us three playing. Three guys playing with themselves just doesn't sound right.

Sorry that doesn't seem to help me. All I get is "sorry we don't have images at this level try zooming out." When I do zoom out I get nothing but fairly large towns, no small villages. I've been zooming in on north Norway for a while now and this seem to be all I get.
I'm assuming the village has "am" "I" or "hell" in it but can't see it. |
it's a google map of Hell, Norway, just east of Trondheim, on the northern edge of that southern "bulge" before Norway narrows out toward the north...
|
Ok I guess Hell, Norway. LOL
You should go again UP |
no, it's yours...you worked your ass off for it...
