sanibel?
|
Are you squatting near one of the St. Pete Beaches?
|
Sanibel Island is correct, uncle phil. It is one of the World's Top-Rated beaches for best "shelling". Seashells cover the beaches, tinkling like wind chimes as they tumble over one another in the waves. Low-key development, abundant wildlife and great restaurants make the island a wonderful all-around getaway.
You're up Phil |
ok, i'll come up with someplace later today...
|
St. George Island up by Apalachicola?
|
I love Sanibel.
Nome Alaska? |
ps: my timing was way off since my guess of St. George above was in case unc's Sanibel was not...onward and upward

..so, no, it's not in indonesia. It's in the northern hemisphere |
Japan?
|
sri lanka...(ceylon...)?
|
...Japan, yes...now where in Japan?
...and Tully, don't make me feel so old :). I just googled Breckenridge and there are different numbers attached to the ships apparently but, yes, it was in the 60's and, as i said, i was a very young LITTLE girl. I'm not sure which one i was on but i was a navy child (not a brat) and my father was stationed in Japan for 3 years. We lived one year on a navy base and two years in a Japanese village within commuting distance to the base. It's this Japanese village that I am going for here. (wikipedia mentioned a breckenridge that last sailed in 1945 and i can guarantee you I wasn't on THAT ship...i wasn't even a thought) |
yokuska (sp?)?
|
Are you in the Kanagawa Prefecture?
|
...yes, tully
...not yokuska uncle phil, but relatively close ...the imperial family owns something special there in this town |
zushi?
|
...not zushi...but you're sooo hot (and i'm not talking about your legs this time)
...i'm going out for dinner...i have a feeling you'll have it when i get back |
kamakura?
|
I believe you have it Phil. The imperial family has a big Budha in Kamakura.
|
hope so, but only shell knows where she is..
|
If that's not it she might be in one of the small beach villages south of Yokuska.
Spent many nights under that Budha drinking with my buddies. Never anything as bad a Scotch and coke... but close. |
well it seems I might as well not throw a superfluous guess out there now that unc most likely found Shell, who "was a very young LITTLE girl" in the '60's...so Shell, you're most likely still a young babe in my time zone :)
So what did you have for dinner? Anything special? |
...kamakura is too far north
...zushi is a little north but the closest ...yes, to the beach ...the Imperial Villa is there which was called the Imperial Summer Palace in the 60's (at least that's what my family called it) ...you two are doing great! |
The Hayama Imperial Villa? (my japanese translation skills have waned, and I originally thought it was "Irayama")
|
...ding ding ding ding ding ding ding...we have a winner!
...Hayama is correct! ...you're up Jetee |
Never mind..
NH? |
...hey nick! We missed you and thank you for the comment. I went to Bonefish Grill and had Pistachio Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout topped with artichoke hearts, fresh basil, and lemonbutter...and a very girly Martini called a Hpnotiq (and, no, that's not a typo)...it's a blend of rum, hpnotiq liquor, and pineapplejuice....then they put a florescent stick in it that makes it glo....i love that :p
...hey, we should try a round of guessing where someone is at a great restaurant...hmmm...maybe that couldn't work...but it was a creative thought anyway welcome back, nick |
Hello, is anyone home? It seems as though the Hayama home is not yet in season.
http://architecturephoto.net/jp/hym10.jpg Ah, alas I'm tagged. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3106/...dc16948d_m.jpg Where to hide? Which hole to choose? What sort of history will you unveil? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2118/...a9208a66_m.jpg Catch me if you can. |
