First time I ever heard of South of the Border was when many of my friends went to Parris Island boot camp. It was almost like it was worth joining the Marines just so you can stop at South of the Border.

I'll give you a clue... You can't get a happy meal here any more. |
does this place have something to do with the railroad?
---------- Post added at 07:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:02 PM ---------- ok, now for the happy meal clue: does this have something to do with the death of Ray Kroc? |
No to the rail road question.
Death of Ray? No. But you could connect Ray to this place in 2 steps. Hence the happy meal clue. Think, where do you buy happy meals? Then go back and read the clues. Someone has to remember this or have the google skills to put this together by now. |
|
You know when I started I originally was going to hide at Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego where 16-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer shot several of her classmates and killed two adults. When asked why she did it she replied "I don't like Mondays." Bob Geldof of the Boomtown Rats heard about the incident and wrote the song "I don't like Mondays," Which has been covered by several bands including Bon Jovi. Anyway while I was waiting for you guys to zero in on San Diego I found the school is now gone and figured you guys couldn't find something that no longer existed. So I remembered this other famous San Diego shooting and found there was a memorial.
So long story short I kind of fudged and changed mid game where I was... but yes I'm at the San Ysidro Micky D's Massacre Memorial. You be up, Nick. |
damn...
shoulda remembered that... |
Yeah, I thought that would be something you'd remember. I was about 3 miles away when it happened. Of course had no idea, went home and turned on the news and thought "WTF! Why would anyone do that?" Wasn't even a Monday, was a Wednesday.
|
/me hears that little red-head singing "tomorrow, tomorrow..."
|
Before I guessed that I looked up where that lady burned her lap by spilling hot McD's coffee all over herself. But that was not in California. Stupid people, but she still got about $500k from the settlement...stupid lawyers.
OK, I don't have anyplace picked out yet so give me a few, thank you. |

Don't rush me...I'll answer that as soon as I pick a place.

Pretty much has to be Rhode Island.
And... one question at a time slave. So, Nick are you at the worlds largest bug in Providence? http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attra...PRObug_sow.jpg |
new york?
|
Don't bug me, Tul. Liv, this is not the "throw all the shit at the wall and see what sticks" game, though that could be fun & we could start a new thread for that.
unco correcto - NY it is. I'm in a superlative man-made thing in New York State....and I mean "man-" in the most general human sense. |
the erie canal?
|
nope. But there is a wet connection.
|
darien lake theme park?
|
no, it is not any kind of park. but the water part is still a good clue.
|
Ok, totally misinterpreted a clue above
How about Cross Island Chapel, "The World's Smallest Church," Oneida, New York? |
Is it a woman made thing?
|
Tul, not that little church. But that would make a good place to go if/when we forget you mentioned it.
amo, no. Sorry, you may have read too much into my "man" qualification above. Other than the usual support and participation that women provide for most things, there is nothing particularly womanly about this place. Although now that I think about it, I can draw a weird analogy with certain female parts providing for life...don't read too much into this one, either. But this place I am is the superlative example in the world of what it is. |
Niagra Falls gift shop?
and why not put everything into one post? saves time from the site doing that when i post all the questions in a row.... just because this one is a curious slave.... |
Liv,
not the gift shop or anything to do with Niagara Falls. But the Falls are beautiful and dramatic, as I'm sure you are too :) But as above, the water idea is still on target. I can appreciate your good idea about saving time, but when I'm here I don't want to save time. I want it to last as long as possible, extracting every last bit of pleasure from the moment, writhing in pleasure until I can hardly stand it anymore. And then rinse and repeat. Rinse is optional. << see, there's that water thing again. |
north of I-90?

All parts of where I am are south of I-90.
