Do you see clockwise or anticlockwise?

The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS

appreciates

Turning? What?

Ourcrazymodern? 10-12-2007 07:26 AM

Yeah, color me ridiculous.

Wonderful post, though...

Uh-oh! Now she's going clockwise and I can't change her back.

Wonderful post.

Elegia 10-12-2007 10:43 AM

Hmm, after looking for a minute, I'm able to change the direction whenever I want by focusing on the legs.

The first impression was clockwise though.

Tophat665 10-16-2007 07:58 PM

Damn. She's stopped.

h-dub 10-16-2007 08:25 PM

yea i've seen this before. it always turned counter-clockwise for me, until i started staring at her foot then sometimes i can turn it clockwise. one time it just kept on going back and forth, back and forth lol

LazyBoy 10-17-2007 12:01 AM

Only one I've ever managed to see was clockwise

1st is saw CCW but after I concentrate to turn her CW I had a hard time making her go CCW again; then she's jumping back and forth after less than one full turn. Now all I notice is her nice figure and wish she'd stand still for a minute.

Try this...Think about a math problem while looking at it.

Then remember something like a hot bath.

This is more fun than 3-d pictures, same principle, I believe.

The trick is to focus your eyes at a point 12 to 18 inches away from your face, hold your finger there as a reference point if need be, pull your hand away without letting your eyes try to re-focus as they normally would.

Takes a bit of practice.

BadNick 11-29-2007 01:20 PM

ring, that didn't do anything for me. I'm sure I need more practice.

But I did cross my eyes while looking at her and then suddenly there were two of her!!! That was nice. I'll try that in real life ...I always wanted 2 girls at once.
PS: now I'm trying to make each one turn a different way.

ring 11-29-2007 01:23 PM

Escher would like this.

Cyborg Ninja 12-07-2007 12:30 AM

Counter-clockwise for me.

IdolGirl 12-10-2007 09:35 PM

I stared at that lady for 20 minutes, and she won't spin counter clockwise for nothin' !!

I guess I'm a strict right brainer.

grumpyolddude 12-14-2007 09:41 AM

Couldn't see counter-clockwise at all. Then I concentrated on the shadow of her pivot foot. Now I can flip it either way. Like magic she switches from a right footed pivot to left footed one. Interesting.

ObieX 12-14-2007 10:15 AM

Heh, not only can i make her spin clockwise and counter-clockwise but i can even make it so that she is always facing backwards (having trouble with always forwards).. lets see who else can pull that one off

Edit: oh yea.. i saw it clockwise to start.
