Jetee takes this round. I really wanted an explanation of the doubled characters and the partial nudity. Jetee's answer was so concise that I thought I was in a regular videogame thread, and had to doublecheck the page title.

Xerxys 02-05-2010 06:41 AM

^^ But was it funny?

Yes. I like my humor dry.

Jetée 02-05-2010 02:35 PM

Wow. Backhanded compliment. Still got the win at least.

Gonna check my picture portfolio for a good one and starting the newest round within the next few hours.

Redlemon 02-05-2010 07:18 PM

Not backhanded at all. I loved it, Jetee.

Jetée 02-05-2010 07:34 PM

Man, how I get backed up in a hurry.
(thanks, RedLemon, for inadvertently reminding me that I was actually suppose to start this newest round back up almost 3 hours ago.)

Alright, a few more seconds, and.......

When did I start this? Alright, three days have passed, and three participants' have enter their ballots (one of which I really think takes the cake).

Three more days for anyone else to send in your write-in ticket for this round's crown.

Gabbyness 02-09-2010 04:13 AM

Jet, I gotta say, this is one of the best pics I've seen in a while for captions. It's really limitless.

Thank you. I have a very replete inventory of pics in my portfolio, so I really try to maximize my opportunites at hosting a new round whenever I can.
If not, pictures like the one above just lay about, biding.

And with the final entry of this week's round, I announce the winner. Sorry Xerxys, for quoting you and maybe giving you a false sense of victory (even though I really liked your caption) but, this weeks best caption goes to . . .

Yes, Fremen. Very choice selection of a short story's weave. The Parenthood woes and Amish reference made my day.

Fremen 02-11-2010 07:51 PM

Wow, who says watching dumb movies doesn't get you anywhere?

I recently watched "Sex Drive", with Seth Green as an Amish man that knows a lot about repairing automobiles.
It was funny in parts, but mostly because I have a friend that looks just like the sidekick buddy in the film.

Thanks for the pick.

At the moment I have no nothing further to add, (other than a thread bump) but I have to say that I would like to commend you by adding authorship and a source page for your photo, Jehu.

I'm not sure why, but the meticulous bug that lives in my brain really is quite pleased when others take that extra 15-30 seconds to include the original artist / author and where we can find more. Thanks, man.

Jehu 03-03-2010 02:03 PM

Thanks Jet. We're on the same page here. Most of the photos I've posted in this thread were taken by me or my family. I wanted to use mine for this but Dan's was so much betta.

RL - The JAMs were the Justified Ancients of Mummu. They were kicked out of the North American Illuminati about the same time as one of the members of MC5 held a seat on the 5th council (Disinformation and Chaos). TMYK.
