Will the Junior team be able to beat the Russians?
No thread about this yet?
It is almost too late, so let's just get a feel for what people (whoever is on the board today) think. I would love to see them win but if they play the way that they did against the U.S. team on Wednesday then they are going to need Carey Price to steal the game for them again. They are going to need to score some more goals (duh!) in order to be able to pull it off. Although everything tells me know, I still believe they will win. By the way you can watch it live on www.tsn.ca, I think that the game is starting at 1:30pm EST http://wj07.tsn.ca/wj07player_jan05am.htm Also, what do you think about a shootout deciding a championship? Not about shootouts in general but about it coming down to a goalie and a shooter to decide who wins a championship? Seems wrong to me but it is definately exciting. |
CANADA..........all the way baby.........
as for the shoot out.............i thought we were watching hockey not soccer. not a fan of it at all. |
If they play like they did against the US then they'll have a hard game ahead. Play like they actually have the potential to then they'll destroy the Russians.
Go Canada Go! As far as the shoot out goes, I dont mind it in the round robin part of a tournament but I hate it once you get to the elimination part. Same as in the NHL, fine during the regular season but once you get to playoffs play the overtimes. |
3 freakin' nothin' man......and the 1st ain't over yet.
|
Wow, 3-0 first period.
|
4 - 1 now..............no worries though.
|
I don't want to jinx it but.... :)
|
Woot.
Somehow, even in the last 3 minutes of the shootout vs USA, I never really had a doubt. |
A shoot out should never determine a playoff or any championship game!
|
I vote yes.
