Television Drinking Games..
I was looking for something else, and stumbled into this - and I've been giggling for like 15 minutes.. back when I was in college, the Love Boat drinking game was the game of choice... the times they have changed...
I now give you... the Rachel Ray Drinking Game... wanna get sloshed in 30 minutes or less? Sayings: 1 drink "EVOO" 1 drink "Sammie" 1 drink "Healthful" 2 drinks "Stoup" 2 drinks "GB" 2 drinks "Spoonula" 3 drinks "Fry-o-lator" +1 drink any of the above followed by an explanation of what it stands for, thus making the abbreviation useless +1 drink any of the above nouns used as a verb (e.g. "I'm just gonna GB this") 1 drink "Yummo" 2 drinks any exotic variant of Yummo, like "Yummilicious" or "Yummerific" 1 drink "Delish!" 1 drink "Awesome" 1 drink "Beautiful!" 2 drinks "Shimmy shake" 1 drink "How _____ is that?" 1 drink "I'm all about _____" 2 drinks "Some of that action" 2 drinks "Daddy" whole drink creates an all-new and completely unnecessary abbreviation Presentation: 1 drink repeats herself 2 drinks talks for so long without taking a breath that she nearly runs out of air 2 drinks makes an awkward, spastic gesture with her arm 2 drinks voice cracks 2 drinks forces a laugh at something not funny 2 drinks tells a lame anecdote about her family 2 drinks mispronounces "foreign" words such as "paprika" or "tapas" 3 drinks is visibly flustered Cooking: 2 drinks comes back from refrigerator carrying too many ingredients 3 drinks drops something on her way back 4 drinks drops something, laughs, and says something like "potato overboard!" new! whole drink the thing she drops is a knife! new! 1 drink fails to provide a measurement and tells you to "eyeball it" 2 drinks provides an obviously wrong measurement, e.g. "about a tablespoon" while she dumps in a half-cup of something 2 drinks uses a "secret ingredient" 3 drinks the "secret ingredient" is nutmeg 1 drink mentions "the thing that makes you go Hmmm" 3 drinks "the thing that makes you go Hmmm" is nutmeg 2 drinks creates a "healthful" meal that clearly contains over 50g of fat 2 drinks does way more work than is humanly possible during a commercial break new! 3 drinks makes a "gourmet" dish out of cheap ingredients (e.g. Tiramisu with nilla wafers and whipped cream) 2 drinks expresses how good something tastes while she's still lifting the fork to her mouth 2 drinks takes such a big mouthful of something it takes several seconds before she can talk again 3 drinks ruins something and tries to play it off as no big deal Travelling: 2 drinks leaves a crappy tip 2 drinks shoves her nose in something to smell it 2 drinks claims a dessert by itself is somehow a legitimate lunch or dinner 3 drinks wears anything midriff-revealing Got any of your own television drinking games? Surely there has to be more than just this... make television fun again... **Disclaimer - the poster of this game, encourages responsible drinking... |
Whenever Don Cherry says "Okay, you kids out there..." during coaches corner.
I'm fucking wrecked by the third period. ** DISCLAIMER: This poster encourages irresponsible drinking. He also leads by example. |
I laughed. :)

My favorite television drinking game is anytime that I'm channel surfing, and I come accross a baseball game involving at least one team that I remotely give a crap about, immediately stop surfing, run to 'fridge and grab a couple of cold beers.
Yeah...that's pretty much it. Simple rules for simple minds. |
In college, we used to drink durning the A-Team. Although the rules are a bit foggy now...

There are lots of great Star Trek TNG drinking games out there on the net.
One of my favourite triggers is: Riker walks forward as if he's trying to knock an imaginary door down with his forehead |
Withnail & I drinking game
Every time the characters take a drink - you take a drink. I've nver met a person that can get to the end of the movie without hurling. |
When I was in college we had two:
Bat Drinking: Watch batman. Drink every time you hear the word "bat". (The themesong is quite challenging.) Do the obvious thing (or finish your beer) when the "Bong!" visual sound effect is shown. Smurf Drinking: Very simple - Drink every time someone says smurf. Simple, yet truly brutal. |
Prime Minister's Questions on C-Span. Drink every time someone says "right honourable" or "my honourable friend" and drink twice whenever Tony Blair takes off his glasses.
Drink three times if the Commons gets unruly and has to be gaveled down by the guy in the wig. |
Spongebob Squarepants - Drink every time someone says another character's name or "Krusty Krab". It's like personal pronouns don't exist on that show.
Quick aside- before you do anything, get the song "Roxanne" by the Police... divide the people in the room into two groups- one group drinks every time he says "Roxanne", the other half drinks on "you don't have to put on the red light". It's a great party-starter, and the ending is the real payoff. Have at least 2 beers in your hands when you start. ;) And I have a different Family Guy system: Drink: * every time Peter laughs * every time Chris laughs *every time Lois admonishes or yells at someone. Drink twice if it's Peter. * at every cutscene- one drink if it's supposed to be a memory, two drinks if it's totally absurd/random * every time someone hates on/makes fun of Meg * every time Peter is seen drinking, you drink. If he goes through multiple beers, you drink for each beer he finishes. * every time Peter is actively drunk on screen, you drink at will. * every time Brian sips a drink, you drink. If he finishes a drink, you finish your drink. * any time Brian does something actually dog-like, drink twice * any time Stewie says something bad and it's passed off/misunderstood as baby talk. * Any time Quagmire issues one of his catch-phrases or spouts sexual innuendo * Drink twice if you don't see, but only hear Bonnie deliver a line (because she's not on screen). * Drink every time Adam West says/does something ridiculous. * any time Stewie references liking men or does anything effeminate. * The first time you see any regular/important character other than the Meg, Stewie, Brian, Chris, Lois, or Peter in an episode, you drink. Examples: Joe, Bonnie, Quagmire, Cleveland, Mort Goldman (drink twice if you see his wife), Neil Goldman, Tom and Diane, Adam West, etc. |
Drinking game for Christmas...
I certainly can't take the credit for this one, but me and my friends ("The Drunkards") have a drinking game that we play at the annual Whoville Party. Yes, that's right... The Grinch that Stole Christmas. Everytime the word "Who" is said, you gots to take a drink. It will be the soggiest 1/2 hour of your life!   |
