Super Mario Bros. Head-to-Head Race (in front of an audience)

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...q=mario%20race

kind of a cool video from 2 of the mario speed experts
the race is VERY close at the end

Quote:
Jeff Ninneman and Jason Harmer race to finish Super Mario Brothers on NES, circa 2002. No emulators were used.

Watch Ninneman's screen (left) for an amazing jump at the beginning of Lvl 8-2. Harmer opts out of attempting it.

Harmer's all-time SMB record: 5:09
Ninneman's all-time SMB record: 5:11

You can tell they fool around a little bit in this one for the talent show, so it's just around 6 minutes.

That is way cool. I couldn't finish the game in 20 minutes, let alone 5. Very close finish there at the end.

This reminded me of that movie where the kid, his brother and his girlfriend runaway across courtry to play in a SuperMario Bros. Tournament. At the end they reveal SMB #3 and the crowd goes nuts. What a time capsule.
