Tasty Wrap
I made the best wrap this weekend and thought I would share. It is not unusual so it may not be new, but it is refreshing on a hot, summer day. It is also quick to make.
Flour tortilla Cream Cheese Celery Carrots Spinach Cucumber Provolone Cheese Spread cream cheese on the tortilla. Cut the veggies and place on the torilla. Put a thin slice of cheese on top. Roll and enjoy. You can subsititute any veggies you want. I left off the cucumbers, but my husband only had cucumbers. But there is something about the cream cheese and the vegetables that are delicious. It is my new food obsession. |
that sounds really refreshing and tasty.... and you can probably get everything from the supermarket salad bar so you can be really lazy like me and not slice up anything... :)
SOunds like dinner tonite -- no cream cheese in the house- goat cheese will be substituted... :) Thanks for the idea - better than just a basic salad.. |

Wraps are amazing for any meal. Just keep a bag-o-tortillas in the fridge, and then you can make wraps with your leftovers. Leftover chicken, steak, quiche, whatever you want. And cream cheese is definitely an incredible (and versatile) spread for almost any meal.
I don't know what the hell is with this "thin slice" of cheese crap though. In order to be successful, a wrap must be at least 30% cheese. |
summer is a great time for wraps.
who wants to make the kitchen hotter when it's already 100 outside? i used to work for an outfit that made their own smoked salmon, and they sold wraps with it. i made 1000s of these bastards. and i still liked to eat. flour tortilla cream cheese (with a wee bit of parsley blended in) for the spread smoked salmon pieces alfalfa sprouts romaine hearts capers fuck. now i want one. off to the kitchen.... edit: ohh shesus... your wrap sounds good. cheese on top of cheese is genius. |
