How to Make Fast Garlic Bread
This is something I like to eat. Yum.
Just take a piece of sourdough bread, cut it in half. Stick it in the toaster. When it comes out, put butter-flavoured Pam spray on it. Then shake some garlic powder/salt over the bread. Heheheheheheh... |
WOW! Do you serve that with spaghetti-O’s or pasta w/butter & ketchup..?
My apologies for the sarcasm :D Anything but real butter or olive oil on garlic bread makes my taste buds run an hide…:p |
I do try to stay away from the garlic salt also, I do admit I cheat and use the the pre minced garlic sometimes (I use extra, since it is not as strong as fresh)
|
how bout you make it the long way, slowly cook the garlic in butter and olive oil over low heat till they're spreadable, then spread it all over the bread.
mmmmmmmm slow cooked garlic, it may just make it in my mouth befor it hits the bread. |
I am not an advocate of 'powerders' or 'flavorings' either, but for a quick garlic bread you can take that chopped garlic you get from costco, or whatever market, put in a saucepan with a couple sticks o butter, let the butter melt. Meanwhile cut loaf inhalf, spread melted butter on and enjoy.. Toast bread if you want to, broil it for a few seconds in the oven. Yay.

Since Dilbert1234567 wants the long way, how about 3-4 heads of garlic (not cloves) cut the top off, drizzle with olive oil and roast in an oven for about 50 min, this is spreadable.

back in college we would just take white bread, slap on some butter and garlic powder and throw it in the toaster. yum! :)
