i've always added a spoonfull of curry power to my ramen. It's my favorite thing to add to it. I'll also add parmeson cheese or an egg to it.
mmmm mmm good.

Ok, this is what I do for Ramen when I don't eat it out of a bowl.
1: Scramble 2 eggs. 2: Put all the crap in the bag in the pot of water and start boiling. Putting in the flavoring before you start boiling might infuse the flavor in the noodles rather than just having flavor in the broth. 3: Drain the water. 4: Get a frying pan and put oil in it so it doesn't stick. 5: Put the noodles in there, followed shortly by the eggs. Be sure to cover all the noodles with the egg. If you miss, start mixing it up in the pan. 6: Wait until one side looks crispy (but not burnt) and then flip it over. 7: Wait some more. 8: Put onto your plate, grab fork+knife. 9: Enjoy. It should end up circular and flat. I call it "noodle pizza" because of the shape. 4: |

I couldn't find the lyrics anywhere online, but there's a great song about Ramen noodles by the a cappella group The Bobs called "Bring to Boil". My favorite line refers to "magic flavor dust".

MMMMMMMMMMMM Ramen! I live in the dorms here at school, and I always steal vegetables from the cafeteria to feed those midnight, midday, midmorning cravings. I like to add broccoli, cauliflower, shredded carrot, mushrooms, mung bean sprouts, and egg. Also, check out this link:

When I heat up ramen, I drain it and add several different combinations of sauces. Mustard by itself, mustard and Worsterchire sauce, mustard and soy sauce, mustard and soy sauce and Worsterchire sauce, mustard and barbeque sauce, barbeque sauce by itself, and any other crazy condiments that taste good. So far I've never gotten any bad tasting mixes.

My favorite way to cook ramen is to cook the noodles, then pan fry them in some peanut oil and/or Thai peanut sauce. Then toss in whatever sounds good to you: protien of some sort, veggies, etc. Nummy!

this one is real easy to make and tastes real good.
Open 2 packages of Oriental Flavor Top Ramen and remove flavor packets. Heat butter in skillet and add the chopped onion. Sauté onion 2 minutes. Add milk, cream cheese and 1 flavor packet. Cook and stir until mixture is smooth. DO NOT BOIL. Add carrots, zucchini and salmon and simmer for 5 minutes. At the same time, cook the noodles with the seasoning from the remaining flavor packet for 3 minutes. Drain liquid. Add the ramen noodles to the salmon and vegetable mixture. Toss gently and serve immediately. Ingredients: 2 packages Oriental Flavor Top Ramen 1 Tbsp. butter 1 onion, finely chopped 1-1/2 cups milk 4 oz. cream cheese, cubed 1 cup carrots, julienned 1 cup zucchini, julienned 2 cans (6.5 oz each) salmon, drained and broken into chunks Serves 4

Tuna noodle casserole
Here's a recipie that kept me going through college:
take a pack of ramen, boil it up. drain the ramen, put the noodles, still hot, in a bowl add 1 tablespoon mayo, 1 slice (american) cheese and one can (drained) tuna. mix well, to melt the cheese. Sometimes, salt adds to the mix. Enjoy! |

OK first you gotta smash the noodles in the bag before you open them...Long noodles suck.
So you put EXACTLY two cups of water in with one bulion cube until it boils then pour the noodles in being careful not to drop the flavour packet in the boiling water. Then set a timer for three minutes and pour the flavour that it came with in a bowl. Then put some salt in the bowl and an ASS load of chili powder. I like to put some tabasco on top of that also. when the timer beeps, put four or five ice cubes in the bowl and pour the noodles on top (theres plenty of flavour in there between the packet the chilipowder and bulion cube for the extra water in the ice so dont worry about it). And there you have it, the best ramen EVER. And Im a discordian pope, which means I'm infallible so don't you dare contradict me. word to the wise: stop eating ramen, they are cheap an easy but they are aweful for you and have no nutritional value.

Have any of you looked the sodium content in this crap? I used to eat it almost every day, and then I discovered it was the equivalent of drinking 6 diet sodas when it came to the sodium. That's terrible. As much as I love the stuff (chicken teriyaki.....mmmmm), it will kill all of you one day And six cents per pack? Here it's like 15 cents. Still cheap, but not six cents. I wish it were 6 cents.......that would override the health factor and become my new staple
