For intrepid souls only

Here is the latest "natural" food. I wonder what sorts of recipes it can be used in. It sure does look delicious, though.

It is so hot weapons experts plan to use a couple in a spice bomb to incapacitate enemy soldiers on the battlefield.

a record breaking chilli that will make your eyes stream, throat burn, nose run and much, much worse.

The Naga Viper chilli packs an astonishing 1,359,000 on the Scoville scale, which measures heat by the presence of the chemical compound capsaicin.

Experts at Warwick University carried out tests on the chilli and officially declared it the hottest.

It beat competition from the ferocious Bhut Jolokia pod - the previous holder - to take the title of the world’s hottest chilli in the Guinness Book of World Records.
uh....... yum?

I am a long way from being able to try that.
I ate a small piece of a scotch bonnet (100k-350k Scoville) once and thought my mouth was melting. My tongue was numb and I couldn't taste anything for a good 2 hours after.

A buddy of mine makes salsa from the Bhut Jalooka. It's very very hot but it has no real flavor, just heat.
Unfortunately it's also a slow building heat so by the time you realize you've eaten too much, it's too late.

fire logs or fire squirts?

I love hot spicy foods. I want to try phaal one of these days.

You can see that the chef has to wear a mask while cooking it.

I'd be willing to try this pepper.
