Black Forest Pumpernickel
At the request of PlatinumBlonde, here's the breadmaker recipe for Black Forest Pumpernickel
1-1/8 cups water 1-1/2 cups bread flour 1 cup rye flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 1-1/2 teaspoons salt 1-1/2 Tablespoons oil 1/3 cup molasses 3 Tablespoons cocoa powder 1 Tablespoon caraway seeds 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Place all the ingredients in the bread pan. If you breadmaker has a crust selection, use the Light Crust setting. Press Start and just wait. This bread needs to cool on a cake rack for about an hour before you can slice it. Enjoy!! |
