The Plan9-Meister Visits the 'Lishes in Dubie-doo
 

While ya'll have been enthralled with organisning Plan9's Chicago get together this coming week with bowling alleys and naked twister games, 9er decided to grace me with his presence (and wisdom) and paid the 'Lishes a visit here in Dubai.

On strict orders to not get decapitated by deranged ay-rabs like myself, i decided i'd spare him this time and took him on a quick visit to see some popular dubai landmarks.

9er even decided to show me his smooth spot, but unfortunately there were no piggy backs and no plastic guns this time around. I tried my best to have baby-lish rub some baby-love onto him, but im really not so certain that worked.

I think my favorite is the one with Cromp and babylish.. because of the face of the guy with the tie in the background. Its like dlish has his own protection detail.. just in case you try to kidnap the kid or something.

9er was so adament on taking him home with him.

..and yes, i do have my own team. They come out of the woodwork when they sense a dangerous situation. The only danger here was baby-lishes diapers.

Always wanted to see some casual shots of that neighbourhood. Not to mention it is nice to see the world coming to Dlish for a change - even though you're technically an Aussie Dubai seems to me to be your stomping grounds.

Good on Plan9 for getting some decent touring in to take the taste of his work travel out of his mind.

Cromp would be the first TFP trooper to visit me here, and ive been here 4 years! i'd have hoped that someone would have passed through here since then at least.

... guess you guys may have to pay me a visit in sydney when i go back ;)


kramus, i got a lot of 'normal' pics of the nieghbourhoods in Dubai..(its a small city really), just not sure what you guys wanted to see.

So, yeah, I'd like to thank Dlish for being such a gracious host and taking super awkward pictures of my crotch. That was necessary.

I'll be back in his 'hood several times this year and fully intend on hanging out with him. He's one cool guy. Total Dos Equis man.

Based on the pictures, you all can see that I'm far from being stealthy. I was wearing my dumpy wrinkled work clothes.

Is Dlish secretly the Arab Plan9? Stay tuned! There will be more hot-hot wandering-retard-guy action in the future.

I imagine that this thread signals the downfall of the Chicago visit, since we now obviously have to give 9er some churching up. Fortunately, there's a good Catholic church down the street from monkie where I happen to know the head priest. We'll get the devil out of him, but it's not going to be a pretty weekend.

Seriously, dlish, you ruined perfectly good shots of your kid by including 9er? What's up with that?

I think I've only had one visit here since I moved here five years ago. I guess Dlish and I are even now.
