24 - Day 5 : The Return of Jack Bauer

w00t!

Jack's back and he has a mullet... at least to start with.

http://www.vanmega.com/jack_is_a_greaser.jpg

Quote:

Season five starts 18 months after Jack Bauer was forced to fake his own death and go underground. Now living under a false name and working in an oil field, Jack leads a quiet life, renting a room with a woman and her son. An early morning breach of national security, however, forces Jack to reemerge. Once out in the open, Bauer quickly becomes the most wanted man alive while CTU commander Bill Buchanan and key operatives react to a series of escalating tragedies. Meanwhile, a shaky President Logan is forced to balance the national security emergencies with the signing of a significant arms treaty he believes will be his legacy.
Just 15 more sleeps till it starts, I can't wait. I am ready to suspend my disbelief and accept it when Jack drives across LA in a 2 minute comercial break.

The prequel episode from the S4 DVD is here: http://www.angelfire.com/ult/24natic/prequel.htm

So let's have it, what do you think is going to happen this year? Remember to mark your spoilers.

m0rpheus 01-01-2006 11:10 AM

WOOO I cant wait. Super Jack is almost back!!! Not so sure about the mullet tho...

superiorrain 01-01-2006 02:37 PM

It just isn't fair, i always have to wait till it comes out on dvd before i can see it. That means i have to wait another 8 months!!!!

I've given up guessing what is going to happen but i may suggest some kind of transport bombing (aka july in london), as there is always some reality in what the guys and girls at 24 write. I just hope that Tony makes and appearence and bring back Chase and while you're there a little of Kim would be cool. I really missed her, we need just a couple of minutes with her... that's all i ask.

So excited...it's going to be the longest 8 months of my life...

Locke7 01-05-2006 07:06 AM

I usually tivo the whole season and then watch it in what ends up being a big marathon, I don't think I can do it this year. I'm just so excited for this season. I think the mullet goes quick, the previews they have have been showing on FOX he is back to the clean cut.

Oh, and just to get you by for the next bunch of days, look up what Keifer has been doing in London lately. It has to do with being drunk, and beating up a Christmas tree. Do a search it's worth a laugh.

And then in 10 days, Jack's back!

Frosstbyte 01-09-2006 02:21 AM

Yes yes yes yes yes. I am ridiculously excited for this season to start. Sean Astin joins the cast for at least the first four episodes and, honestly, what could be better than Rudy and Jack Bauer on screen at the same time?

I have a completely foundless (let me re-emphasize that NOTHING has been said to ground this) belief that Jack might not make it out of this season alive. Guess we'll have to see.

And mullet-Jack is awesome. I have a special place in my heart for beginning of season 2 mountain-man Jack. The mullet might crowd that a little bit. I'll try to survive.

kutulu 01-09-2006 01:32 PM

As much as I make fun of the show I'll see every episode once again. I heard that in this season he solves the problem in 17 hours and the rest of the time the camera just follows him around getting gas, shitting, eating, jerking off, and sleeping.

I am operating under the same belief, Jack dies... and I'd guess not in the last episode either.

On another topic... how many people is Jack going to have to kill this time out? From what I can recall in previous seasons he has killed around 50/24 hours. Will he meet or break his record today?

I propose a little TFP informal contest. Have your guesses in next week before the start of the episode on Jan23rd. We'll keep a running total going after than and whoever guesses the closest.... well wins bragging rights or something. I guess the only rules would be;
1. Jack has to be at least 50% responsible for killing a guy (IE: shoots him, breaks his neck etc...)
2. It has to be a confirmed kill (IE: cubbing a guy on the noggin is likely just putting him out of commision for a few minutes).

Game on!

kutulu 01-15-2006 10:24 PM

so much for hte idea of him having a mullet...

Great premier. I can't wait till tomorrow. My love/hate relationship with the show continues. That lady made it from Bakersfield to LAX in about 1.5 hrs? lol.

Jack may be the only person who can take on Chuck Norris and live to tell about it.

Put me down for 35 kills for Jack.

Frosstbyte 01-15-2006 10:37 PM

I was not in any way disappointed, though the first 20 minutes had me totally speechless. Talk about a preimer that just sinks its teeth into you and hold on tight. Wow.

This season can't happen fast enough. It looks like it's going to be awesome.

Spoiler: I hate Logan's aide so much. God I want him to die a slow, horrible death, preferably at the hands of the Chinese.

Edit: Put me down for 43.

m0rpheus 01-16-2006 05:49 AM

HELP!!!!

Okay I fucked up big time. I was working last night and taped 24. Only problem is that my tape ran out (I know stupid me) with a half hour left in the second episode. Could someone please help me and post what happened (using spoiler tags in case someone who isnt stupid and has them on tape reads it). Thanks.

the_marq 01-16-2006 06:05 AM

m0rpheus, your best bet for finding out what happened is the Fox.com episode guide here: http://www.fox.com/24/episodes/

OK... so that was awesome. The only complaint that I had was that the opening credits for the first episode mentioned a "Special Guest Star: Denis Haysbert." So he was pretty much marked for death the instant I read that. The Michelle/Tony thing was a little more shocking. Can't wait for tonite.

Jack Bauer Death Count

It was the first place I checked but it's currently "Coming Soon".

BulletCatcher 01-16-2006 09:35 AM

Let's see, the last half hour....

Spoiler: After Jack eludes the Secret Service and FBI thanks to Chloe, he and the kid (don't remember his name off the top of my head) steal a car and contact the mother asking her to meet them at the Ontario Airport so Jack can follow up on the lead he got from Pres Palmer's computer. Chloe is taken into custody by CTU and brought back for questioning and arrives back at the end of the episode.

Jack and the kid have a heart to heart in the car on the way to the airport and Jack tells him he cares for him and his mother. When they get to the airport Jack returns the kid to his mother and tells them to go to CTU and explain to them Jack could not have been involed with the assination because he was with them this morning. Jack leaves them and goes into the terminal to look for the Chenyekov (sp?) guy. While the mother and son are leaving the airport the kid sees a bunch of suspicious looking guys get out of the back of a truck and decides aagainsts his mother's wishes to try and find Jack to let him know what he saw. Jack finds Chenyekov's office and just as he confronts him hears and explosion and gunshots. The suspicious men have taken over the terminal with Jack and the kid inside. While Jack is distracted Chenyekov takes a cyanide pill and dies and that's about it.

EDIT: Almost forgot probably the most important part. Spoiler: At the very end, you see the 'mastermind' of the events so far having a phone conversation with President Logan's aide Cummings. Cummings tells him that he doctored the tape of the conversation between Mrs Logan and Pres Palmer

hambone 01-16-2006 11:12 AM

Work is always so much slower when 24 is on that night. Can't wait for the next 2 hours tonight!

Kill count estimated at 47 for me.

superiorrain 01-16-2006 11:27 AM

well at this point i will have to leave the thread here, just in case i get a wiff of anything i shouldn't do. So before i see it in the summer. I want to wish the rest of you viewers a fantastic time and lets hope it lives up to our high expectations. ENJOY

Brewmaniac 01-16-2006 11:28 AM

Can't wait for tonight! Jack kills 40!

m0rpheus 01-16-2006 02:08 PM

Thanks BulletCatcher.

DarthDooku 01-16-2006 03:11 PM

I totally forgot about it. I missed the first 20 minutes. I was so pissed. I cant beleive i had to find out what happened by seeing it on the news that was on a tv in the show. I thought it was kinda funny to see Michelle all chubby. I guess she didnt feel the need to slim down since she was only going to be in one episode. Im not upset she died, that story wasnt going anywhere. Now tony is going to be out for revenge. Maybe it'll be Jack trying to keep tabs on him instead of vice versa. Anyway, any word on Elisha Cuthbert coming back.

sadatx 01-16-2006 07:04 PM

My DVR decided it wasn't going to record the season premiere on Sunday night. :(

Anyone know of a place on the net you can download it? Damn, I wish itunes had a deal with Fox.

FunkyLamb 01-16-2006 07:42 PM

TorrentSpy would probably be your best bet for tracking down a missed episode.

After four episodes, this season is on fire.

the_marq 01-16-2006 09:59 PM

Jack Bauer Death Count
Balance--3
9-10am--1 blown up terrorist
10-11am-3 shot terrorists (can someone confirm this total from a recording? It may have been 4, the leader doesn't count)
Total to date--7 confirmed kills in 4 hours

I don't believe there is absolute confirmation that Kim will be back around, bu there has been widespread speculation and quasi-official-sounding talk that she will be. I'm torn, since she's unbeleivably hot, but they always do unbelievably stupid things with her and she can't act very well.

I have one word for anyone who questions this: puma. 'nough said.

On the other hand, said puma led us to that delicious scene of her in a wifebeater, so you have to take the good with the bad.

Anyway, the next twenty weeks are going to be awesome if they keep up with the first four hours. Man am I excited! JACK IS BACK BABY!

Spoiler: I concede that I yelped with glee when he shot the guy in the hand when he was trying to kill himself. SO AWESOME!

kutulu 01-18-2006 08:47 AM

Spoiler: Kim is coming back. Check her IMDB profile, she's listed as a guest star in episodes 7-10 (1pm-5pm)

shortynickel 01-19-2006 05:43 PM

I say 51 kills for the season!

that's close to what we do. We let 3-4 episodes stack up and have long marathons on a single day. This time the Tivo is full since our bedroom one is being serviced at the moment, so we just did the first 2 hours so that we can clear off some space. I just couldn't do 4 hours tonight.

777 01-20-2006 01:30 AM

Hold on, back up a bit... Did Chloe just sleep with someone?! Someone besides Jack and Edgar can stand her for more than a few seconds? And notice how she doesn't hesitate to shoot people now.

Out here in LA, 93.1 JACK FM had a 24 hour commercial free marathon to help promote 24. It ended just as 24 was set to start .

Locke7 01-20-2006 08:34 AM

Well I broked down, was going to tivo the whole season. Accidently watched the first 5 minutes, well how could you stop after that.

Now I'm worried that the end of winter and then spring will drag because I'm waiting each week for 24. At least it's every week with no breaks and no "catch you up" episodes.

One thing about characters though. Someone was saying Tony will be out for revenge. If Tony comes back from that massive head trauma in the same day, I'm going to lose a bit of faith in the show. I mean we know he doesn't eat, sleep, take a dump, but to recover from that in less than 24 hours would be a real stretch.

kutulu 01-20-2006 11:41 AM

I was thinking that also. He's about to have brain surgery, he better not be out in the field with Jack and Curtis.

He's already got up from getting shot(?) in the neck (S3?). Jack's got up from a near death experience and saved the world. Why would you lose faith now?

the_marq 01-20-2006 09:08 PM

Alright, since I'm going to be offline for a few days, here are the official Jack Bauer Body Count/Bloodbath Spectacular game guesses.

shortynickel - 51
Brewmaniac - 40
Hambone - 47
Frosstbyte - 43
kutulu - 35
the_marq - 42

You can still enter, but your guesses have to be in before the Jan23rd episode airs... say 9pm EST (but to be honest, who gives a shit, this is just for fun. guess away).

Let's see, Jack's kill rate has been getting with every season. So my guess would have to 54.

Hey, let's have a Kill Pool!!! Winner gets bragging rights!

One question though... Remember when Kim had to shoot someone to save her self in Day 2? Jack was on the cell with her, tells her to point the gun at his chest, and pull the trigger. Would that count as Jack's kill or Kim's kill? She wouldn't have shot him if he wasn't on the phone with her. Should these assisted kills go to Jack or the civilian?

Frosstbyte 01-24-2006 12:03 AM

Slow hour.

11:00-12:00: 1 kill

Moskie 01-24-2006 04:26 AM

It was a good kill though.

It seems like Jack and Samwise hit it off, both thinking on the same wavelength. At first that McGill character rubbed me the wrong way, but I like the idea that he'll act as someone who sees eye to eye with Jack.

Moskie 01-24-2006 04:40 AM

Actually, I got a question. They seemed to deduce that it was someone in President Logan's administration that was involved. How did they figure that? And I think this was even before Spencer spilled the beans about the internal affairs stuff. I was confused.

m0rpheus 01-24-2006 06:27 AM

My body count guess is 45. Go Jack!

boom29 01-24-2006 02:46 PM

I enjoyed the twist of having the "mole" inside CTU not actually being a mole. Yey!

...Poor little Spencer.

Well, I think Jack's thought process went something like this: 4 people, not including me, know I'm alive-Palmer, Tony, Michelle and Chloe. The threat to my life a year and a half ago came from someone in the White House and if anyone were to have both the resources and the motivation to track me down and use me after so convincingly faking my death, it's probably the same person who is probably still there.

It's pretty tenuous, but it's the best I can come up with.

the_marq 01-24-2006 08:57 PM

Jack mentioned Palmer telling him that someone in the POTUS admin tried to kill him 18mo ago... I don't remember that happening tho... does anyone else?

You know, for once, there aren't any CTU agents or higher ups that are slowing things down with red tape this season. This McGill guy, at first, seemed to be one of those. But then he saved the day by recalling what Jack meant when he stated (repeatedly) that he was in a "flank 2 position".

Audruy (is that how it's spelled?) has not only forgiven Jack for Paul's death, but still really, really likes him.

And let's hope that there aren't any profession dasiels in distress like when Kim was kidnapped and/or in danger through out the all of Seasons 1 & 2.

BulletCatcher 01-30-2006 07:50 PM

Only one person killed this hour and Jack had nothing to do with it. Good episode all around but I was hoping Jack would have gone ahead and bitch slapped President Logan at the end. You could tell he wanted to :D .

Not sure about this love triangle though. 24 has never handled romances very well and somebody always gets killed. My guess this time around is Audrey.

Now for a bit a fun. I found this list on another board. I'm not sure who the original author is (or more than likely more than one) as it was uncredited where I found it but there's some pretty funny ones here...

But what would take us through the middle part of the day? Jack needs something else to take up his time. Remember in past seasons, the beginning story is so obscure by the end of the day you don't even remember the initial villain. Jack is currently on pace for a season low kill count of 32 bad guys, tho to be fair he did kill one good guy in season 3.

Frosstbyte 02-06-2006 10:13 PM

I don't say anything specific, but I'm spoilering this anyway.

Spoiler: God what a horrible horrible ending. I cannot BELIEVE that happened. 24 finally completely recycles a plot "surprise." Awful. Just...wow....

I'm really sad about that. I saw it coming as soon as they made "the arrangement." My faith in this show has been shaken to the core.

For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, here's the example from a DIFFERENT SEASON so if you haven't see all of the seasons, don't look here.

Spoiler: In season one where the girl flips out and stabs the guy in the neck that she'd been sleeping with after Jack sets her up to sell him out right before a phonecall, blah blah blah. SO SO SAD THEY REUSED IT.

I dislike President Logan, he is such a whiny little bastard. He always asks for advice from everyone, but he cannot form his own opinion on tough matters.

DEI37 02-13-2006 08:08 PM

Yeah, this president is NOT what this situation needs. David Palmer was infinitely better.

Frosstbyte 02-13-2006 10:02 PM

This season started out so fantastically good. It's starting to drag a little. The last two episodes have been good, but they haven't really "done it" for me. I'm hoping things improve over the next few weeks as the stakes increase.

Locke7 02-14-2006 12:16 PM

I think the end of each episode isn't as gripping as it's been in seasons past. I still love it though, it looks great in high definition... I'll be interested where the plot goes, it has to change somewhat, the story never stays the same for the full 24 hours.

Moskie 02-14-2006 08:43 PM

Yea, I thought the season started out great, too.

I liked how it went all "personal" on Jack, with them trying to frame Jack for the asassination of Palmer and then going after Tony, Michelle, Chloe... but have they forgotten all that? I hope not. Or maybe they explained that away and I missed it?

And wasn't there a mysterious dude in a dark room on a cell phone in the earlier episodes? I'm blanking on who he talked to and what he said right now... what happened to him?

Mysterious dark guy is coming back and from the previews for the next episode it looks like he might be negotiating a deal to help CTU. We'll see...

Still waiting to see Kim... And to know what happened to Chase (from a couple seasons ago)

I think from the early episodes of season 4, it's mentioned that Chase and Kim are living together, somewhere in So. California, and that Chase works for some sort of private security company. Whether or not that's with one hand or two, I don't know.

Kim coming back to this season would be pretty interesting, though I can't tell if it'll help or hurt the plotline. Somehow Kim's gonna be in danger from the terrorists.

Regarding a question earlier from this thread ... has there been any resolution as to who conspired to frame Jack for Palmer's assassination? I'm not entirely convinced that this was the dirty work of Walt Cumming. Any thoughts?

wraithhibn 02-18-2006 05:30 AM

I doubt that the nerve gas is really the main plot of this season. It's starting to get old, so I can't wait for the next plot.

the_marq 02-21-2006 06:55 PM

Well I gotta say, that was a pretty lame episode last night Spoiler: They finally introduce the so-called mastermind behind the nerve gas plot and blammo, he get's wacked in his second scene.

Oh well, at least Jack is back on a killing spree. I only saw him kill two bad guys last night but some reports say 3.... so I am going with 2.

I actually thought the above spoiler was where they needed to take it. i also liked how things at ctu have turned around! (not sure how to do the spolier tag)

Locke7 02-23-2006 11:07 AM

Anyone else tired of Samwise Gamgee aka. Lynn over at CTU. Someone needs to take authority and get this guy downgraded. Nothing like being in the middle of a crisis and arresting the leader of the group. I liked him to start with now he is just a wimpy little idiot. I think he needs to die or something in the show.

Well he's always credited as a "guest star", so it's very probable he will die. I'm getting damn tired of him too. He doesn't seem to react very well to stress and can't make decisions very well on his own, which given his position, he should be able to handle in stride.

777 02-23-2006 06:48 PM

I'm sure that Jack or Curtis will have to go on a covert mission to Lyn's sister's place to extract the stolen card key. Then Lyn will either behave, or be dead. It could go either way.

Antikarma 02-23-2006 08:19 PM

Man I am so glad I found this thread. Trolling finally paid off. I gladly throw my hat in with the rest of the fanboys.

For the most part, the president and his wife grate on me, but I have to give her credit for jumping into the limo with the Russian president. I didn't see it coming, and it took a lot of balls. It was a great way to force president Logan into action, so how he reacts should be interesting.

You say that about Lynn/Samwise, but that could also be said about President Logan. I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind if they both got a punch right in the gut.

777 02-26-2006 06:49 PM

Hi guys. I forgot to post this last week. For those of you with a PS2, "24: The Game" will be out soon. In fact, it was featured on "The 1up Show". You can watch the episode online at this site: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3148129 They interview Kim (Elisha Cuthbert), Tony (Carlos Bernard), Michelle (Reiko Aylesworth), and of course, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) (Jack was busy shooting at terrorists, but he did make time to chat over his cell with the 1up staff).

The Game takes place between Day 2 and 3, and as far as I can tell, both Jack and Chase are useable characters. Best part, there's a button that's sole purpose is to cause Jack to yell, "I'M A FEDERAL AGENT!" whenever you want :D

Frosstbyte 02-27-2006 04:10 AM

I hope I can play as Jack but shoot Chase. That would be too awesome.

(I didn't like Chase too much.)

Locke7 02-28-2006 10:57 AM

OK, I called it earlier in this thread. The teaser for the next episode had freaking Tony sitting up taking some gauze off his face. C'mon, he had massive head trauma about 5 hours ago. I know, I know it's a TV show, but C'mon... Ooh and Kim's back ;) I really hope she doesn't end up getting abducted.

Last nights show was great. It was a fast hour in my opinion. Logan is the biggest wimp on the planet, how he ended up pres, I'll never know.

Leto 02-28-2006 12:55 PM

Logan is terrible. I thought he got to be pres when the real pres' plane was shot down last season.

Who is Kim?

Jove 02-28-2006 07:00 PM

I found it amusing when Logan decided to pray for a miracle. What a stupid douche bag. If I were the President, I would say this to the terrorist on the phone: "Jack Bauer Power Hour begins very soon!"

I am glad Lynn is out of the picture because he is a n00b.

RonRyan85 03-01-2006 09:11 AM

I do love the show 24 now but it took me a few seasons
to get where I watch every episode. I feel that CHLOE
needs to get out in the field more to help Jack fight
the terrorists. (Yes,I know she is helping back at CTU
behind her computer.) I'd like to see her wearing more
sexy outfits, makeup and fighting off too amorous agents
wanting to lure her into bed (For a bit of fun/humor)
and have Jack Bauer rescue her for a change of pace.

While Elisha Cuthbert is certainly very hot, I'm almost positive that pick is a fake (and probably shouldn't be in a post that is otherwise totally SFW).

Sounds like the current President, he sucks under a huge amount of pressure like this week but that is what (IMO) makes the show better.

Damn, I didnt want to know the above, could you have put a teaser warning before hand?? Oh well :|

Locke7 03-02-2006 08:00 AM

That wasn't a teaser, it was on the preview for next weeks show... This thread is full of information up to the latest episode, if you don't want to know information about the show, you might want to wait a while before you check this thread. Not trying to be a dik, but still...

Moskie 03-02-2006 08:39 PM

back in the days when 24 was in its prime, i would consider stuff from the preview to be spoilers. even the most subtle image could reveal a lot about what would happen.

if a commercial for 24 would come on, my friends and i would cover our ears, shut our eyes and make loud noises until the commercial was over. going into an episode of 24 without knowing anything was a great experience and was worth the trouble.

i don't care so much these days, as it seems like the same things keep happening over and over, just with different cast members.... but for the sake of the people still into it, i'd say you should consider anything outside the latest hour (previews, commericals, whatever) to be spoilers.

Just think: Spoiler: how excited would you be if you had no idea that Kim and Tony were coming back next week, and then boom there they are... it's great fun.

viper11885 03-02-2006 11:30 PM

Last episode was pretty good. It was nice to see Aaron in some action as a secret service agent.

But I do agree with some of you, the scenes are definately getting a bit repetive.

Frosstbyte 03-04-2006 03:14 AM

Some of us still consider previews spoilers. Please spoiler them as you would any plot twists from the current episode. Sure, it's a little anal, but some of us like to be surprised. I won't watch previews or the commercials for the next episode. I dont't hink it's too much to ask.

Well, I would rather not know what is on next weeks episode otherwise i wouldnt have posted to put the spoiler tag up.

DONT FORGET THIS WEEK THERE ARE 2 EPISODES!!

Destrox 03-06-2006 06:59 PM

Holy shit, that ending... holy shit....
Spoiler:
I totally didnt expect that many people to die, that is a first for this show.

I love how silent it was. 40% of the people dead.

Jove 03-06-2006 07:11 PM

The two hour episode was so intense. I did not expect any of that to happen in less than 24 hours.

Jack Bauer is awesome with his interrogating techniques.

Did any of you see the X-Men trailer? I think that is going to be an excellent flick.

shortynickel 03-06-2006 07:48 PM

All i have to say is HOLY SHIT!!

I saw the X-Men trailer and I wish it was out now, that is the #1 movie on my list this year!

Bodyhammer86 03-06-2006 08:00 PM

I really have to say, that was an emotionally intense and sad ending to the episode. and that silence as the final seconds to the hour ticked down.....man.

Frosstbyte 03-06-2006 10:05 PM

I *believe* the only other time that an ending has ending with a silent clock is at the end of Season One when Spoiler: Terri died. (I dunno who has or hasn't seen season one and damn if I'm going to be that guy, I dunno how you wouldn't know through context, but whatever, let's be safe). I don't have the DVD with me or I'd check, but I seem to remember that happening. Please correct me if I'm making shit up (which I do rather often).

Wow, what a set of episodes. Holy shit. Yeah, I cannot believe the attack was so successful, though it's fairly reminiscient of Season 2. This time was much, much worse, though, for obvious reasons. Wow...

Wow...

Tamerlain 03-06-2006 10:23 PM

Tonight's episodes were great. I only watch 24, Lost and Prison Break, and with Prison Break coming back in 2 weeks it is shaping up to be a good month of television.

I know there have been more than just that episode, I just can't remember which ones they are. I don't have my DVDs with me at school so I can't be sure which ones they were. It was very effective in tonight's episode, as well as the previous ones.

And that X-Men trailer was amazing. The second episode was on twice and I watched it again - mostly to see the X-Men trailer. I don't want to have to wait until May that movie.

crossova 03-07-2006 07:41 AM

Spoiler: Aww man why'd they have to kill edgar. he was my comic relief. I think next week Tony will sacrifice himself for the better of CTU. He has no point in living any more. His wife just died and he's all burned up...go ahead Tony, off yourself.

Frosstbyte 03-07-2006 09:53 AM

No way man. Tony has to save the day. He's going to go apeshit like Jack did at the end of Season One when he thought Kim was dead and went on a rampage against the Draezin family. Only, you know, he's stuck in CTU. Which means he'll probably have to go apeshit on the guy that Jack was interrogating as soon as whatever drugs they gave him wear off. The shots of Tony and the other guy were right next to each other in the closing montage and they're both stuck in the clinic. I can't imagine Tony isn't going to go at it.

lindalove 03-07-2006 03:18 PM

Man, the silent clock ticking at the end was heart wrenching....

RonRyan85 03-07-2006 06:52 PM

Well "24" is now my favorite TV show! It's the only program that makes
me feel tense and uneasy....like I care what happens to the people. All
of the actors will be able to get jobs easier now ...right? I heard
that the guy that plays CTU computer op EDGAR is already signed up to be
part of another cable TV show.

Guess we can add that Jack Bauer can take out Robocop in 1 shot to this list

And as far as the clock that didnt hit me so much as Chloe's expression. For once I actually felt for her (well felt something other than pure hatred anyway...)

Locke7 03-09-2006 10:26 AM

I was just screaming for Edgar to look up when he found the dead chick. Oh and I also think Tony's going to smoke that dude Jack was interogating. He already said he didn't want Jack to let him off. Can't wait for next week.

i like Chloe's deadpan delivery. She cuts straight to the point, my kind of people

Frosstbyte 03-09-2006 01:17 PM

Season 3 Chloe bothered me quite a bit. She's loosened up and has become one of my favorite characters now. I like her for the same reason I like House. There's really something to be said for someone who has no internal censor.

From IMDb:

Actress Elisha Cuthbert is facing the critics on her return to cult TV series 24, after fans of the show previously became tired of her character's unrealistic storylines. The 23-year-old star has been plunged into increasingly ludicrous situations in the past, but she assures "frazzled" viewers Kim Bauer's journey will be more believable from now on. Cuthbert tells PageSix.com, "I understood where they were coming from with all the comments and reviews. Nothing was ever directed towards my acting, it was directed toward the storylines, and that helped. If it would have been about me being a disaster, then it would have hurt a lot because I worked my a** off to make sure the storylines were believable. I know a lot of (fans) were frazzled about it, but I think now Kim is coming back in an intelligent way that makes sense for the show."
I guess this means we won't be seening Kim in a tight white tanktop this season. Oh well... I think I'll keep watching it anyway.

Any bets on how long C Thomas Howell's character lasts? I say he's dead by 9:30pm.
